"Had the summer tasting menu at Cord and it was a great fine dining experience. The atmosphere was elegant but not intimidating which is perfect for a special occasion or quiet celebration. The meal started with a glass of Taittinger Champagne, followed by a series of well-executed dishes. Highlights for me were the Otoro tuna with beef consommé and caviar — rich yet balanced — and the BBQ monkfish, which had a nice contrast of smokiness and sweetness from the date molasses. The salt marsh lamb rack was beautifully cooked and full of flavour. Service was professional, friendly and well-paced. Staff explained each course without being overly formal, and the overall experience felt thoughtful and refined. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in central London. Worth the price for the quality and atmosphere.
