"The food was just average this time. The main fish dish was warm instead of hot, and some pieces of the sweet and sour pork weren't up to standard. As regulars, we've come to expect a better experience. I'm starting to question the one-star Michelin rating—maybe it was just an off night."

"I have eaten in Sale e Pepe before and really enjoyed it. I needed to eat quickly and popped in to see if they had a table for 1. They did and I ordered spaghetti Carbonara and a large whiskey and coke. They brought some bread. I asked for butter. I didn’t get it. The spaghetti arrived quickly and it looked strange. It was like a solid lump of pasta. Very sticky and gluey. I ate a few mouthfuls but couldn’t eat anymore. I told the waiter and he brought the maitre de over. He asked if I wanted something else but as I was in a hurry I declined. I asked for the bill. He had taken the pasta of but it was still £21. So I had virtually nothing to eat and charged £17 for a whiskey. Given the situation I would have expected him to say ‘no charge’ This is a very reputable restaurant but I was very disappointed and hungry."

"Had dinner here prior to going to the theatre. Glad we booked as busy . Service was efficient meant we had time to share a desert which we were pleased about as when portions of tiramassu passed our table earlier in the evening looked yummy and it was . Also enjoyed an expresso kept me awake well during the performance and on the drive home Not cheap but worth it for the occasional treat. "steady. carluccio in smithfield is like a back-up, a reasonable alternative for me when I close to smithfield or comptoir gascon and they are full for a woken breakfast / brunch. this is a quite common hesitation, as sos cg slide the scale higher and are more desirable due to the trendy, more prosperous masses that are more frequent this part of the city. but we should not think less of the local carluccio. it has been shown to Italian cafe food of a steady quality. yes, the deli items in front of the shop are overpriced, but there is a focus on regional specialities, and it is a convenient holding point for mozzarella, ricotta, parma ham, dried porcini, risotto rice, tinted fish and saffron if they cannot find it elsewhere. the inner of this branch is light and airy, with high ceilings and a very relaxed feeling, making it ideal for a long brunch with friends and some wash papers. Coffee and baked are decent, the full breakfast is not bad for £8.50 that contains coffee juice, plus it grilled pancetta instead of fat speck. nice! it is also one of the rare places in london that makes bicerin. there are no pizzas here, but the pasta is again decent. I like the ricotta spinat ravioli served simply in sage butter. pasta here is actually cooked to al dente. I also like their thick, peasy pasta e fagioli (pasta beane) but not so sharp on their meek-watery mushroom soup. the menu changes with the season and there are daily specialties that are for a chain, is nice to see."

"The food was decent but not exceptional. The olive and bread appetizer was disappointing as many of the olives were mushy. The pizza and pasta were just okay."

"I love Italian food. Although this is clearly a chain restaurant the food is great, there's a wide choice, and it compares well to my experience of many restaurants in Italy. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. Service was quick but at no time were you hurried along. For what you get this is a good value and I would recommend! I've been here before and will (hopefully) go many times more."

"I would absolutely love this place if they offered breakfast menu options all day along with their regular menu. I adore breakfast, and sometimes all I need is a couple of poached eggs with a side of mushrooms and kale, paired with a large coffee. If they could offer poached eggs throughout the day, they should provide both menus to customers when they sit down. That is the only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5."

"I recently stopped by this restaurant looking for a light snack, specifically coffee and cake. I ended up enjoying a beautiful latte paired with a passion fruit pastry. The coffee was excellent, smooth and not bitter or sour. The pastry was a bit sharper than I expected due to the passion fruit cream, but still a light and refreshing dessert. The interior of the restaurant is airy, spacious, and beautiful, with a casual yet smart atmosphere. The main entrance is wheelchair accessible, but the back entrance has a few steps. There is also a lovely outdoor area with sun umbrellas. Since it was a quiet day, the service was fast and the staff were pleasant. Although my original order of affogato was mistakenly served as a latte, I was satisfied with the latte and did not mention the error. Overall, it was a worthwhile stop and I would definitely return for a proper meal."

"Having had a very poor experience a few months ago with a breakfast meeting, I thought I owed it one more chance. A mistake. We should have taken note that there were very few people in the restaurant (this place used to be really busy, even early morning). So breakfast with a colleague this morning in the restaurant was simply dreadful. It began with a waitress who seemed unable to understand the request for two 4 minute, soft boiled eggs. Granted that they were not on the menu but poached eggs were. The waitress said she would check and returned to say that they could only do seven minutes? At that point we gave up on the boiled eggs and my colleague chose the same as me. Poached eggs with avocado on toast. The dishes arrived. The poached eggs had clearly not been drained properly as the bread was sodden and tasted of vinegar water. The waitress was asked by my colleague for some other toasted bread with butter. An untoasted slice of bread with no butter duly followed! The waitresses spent the entire time we were there chatting to themselves by one of the tills. Three requests for the bill finally resulted in it arriving. This chain is in serious risk of heading in the same direction as one of its notable competitors. It used to be dependable with informed and engaging personnel but appears to have been in steep decline for some time."

"There has been a lot of buzz surrounding this restaurant, and some of the dishes definitely lived up to the hype. The wasabi prawns were absolutely delicious. The duck appetizer and main course were good, but not outstanding. The duck brain was an unconventional offering that was served with a hint of challenge in their smiles. The salt and pepper squid was pleasant but not extraordinary, and the Chilean Sea Bass was also good. The steamed rice and long life noodles were decent but nothing exceptional. The desserts looked beautiful but fell short in taste. Unfortunately, the staff began cleaning and making noise with plates and cutlery before we had finished dessert, giving the impression it was time to leave. We felt somewhat neglected until the bill came, at which point we felt pressured to increase the service charge. The sommelier was knowledgeable and the wine we chose was enjoyable. Overall, I am glad I tried Kai, but I don't see myself returning. I prefer establishments like Yauatcha and Hutong, which offer delicious food at more reasonable prices. I believe Kai may be better suited for companies entertaining clients on expense accounts, who would likely be pleased with their choice."

"I have always received excellent service at Carluccio's in Leeds Trinity. I frequently stop by after work and enjoy the fantastic coffee made by a bar employee named Will. He is always friendly and engaging in conversation. The food is fresh, beautifully presented, and captures the essence of traditional Italian cuisine with its balanced and vibrant flavors."

"First time at a Carluccio Restaurant and it was ok. Visited with three friends. The food I ordered was really tasty, but one of meals we ordered to share was not and it was the calamari. When we told one of the staff, they were kind enough to take it off the bill as we hardly touched it. So, thank you for that. Other than that, I polished off my meal as I was super hungry after an afternoon walking around the V&A. Hence my four stars. For the staff: please clean the seats as well when clearing the tables as ours still had crumbs from previous guests. Also kindly clean the toilets at least every hour as having toilet paper all over the floor is not a pretty sight. Other than that, keep up the good job."

"my little man picked me a few weeks ago for tasty tapas to mother's day. tendido cuatro, in Parson’s green, is sister restaurant to the popular tendido Cero/Cambio de tercio in kensington. we used to live away from tendido cero when we moved to london and it remains one of my favorite Spanish tapas in london. this was the first time that we tried tendido cuatro and I wished for taste and consistency. they have not disappointed. the menu suggests a series of 3-4 tapas plates per person, which was simply performed with a standard list of old favorites. we were short tried by their Paella menu, but chose to skip it because there was no possibility we could manage the minimum order of 2 Paella sections together with the tapas! of course we started with the obligatory sangria and padron paprika to awaken the appetit. the “no red meat solution” of my new year broke into tendido cuatro, as there was no way I went without iberico jamon and my favourite ham and bechamel croquettas. absolutely divine, especially after 3 months no red meat! I loved the unique presentation of the patatas bravas. they don't look so elegant. the grilled squid and pulpto were favorites of tendido cero and tasted as well as our memories. the crema catalana was good, but oh my churros. yummy! I had tendido cuatro full of tapas and broken resolutions. it was an unforgettable Mother's Supper and we will definitely return with place for paella. highly recommended tendido cuatro for excellent Spanish cuisine in a local environment. look at this when they are in the opposite and do not skip the sangria, croquettas and churros!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. "Got the 3 course meal. The bread tin comes with 2 pieces of bread and a load of biscuits. The liver patty was okay but the bread was soaked in oil and fried. The beef tomato salad was nice. The risotto was a small portion and was thick and salty. The steak was ordered medium rare but was so thin it came out well down. Again small portion. We ordered two cocktails which were strong and presented in wine glasses The panna cotta was too sweet but well presented and nice if you like sweet strong vanilla. The chocolate bread was quite hard in the middle and soggy on the edges."
