"visited a few times during the last stay in the city. the first time (good Friday at midday), it was somewhat depressing because the two servings were so miserable. they didn't see customers in the eye and seemed as if they weren't going to do their work. after a few we took the note and moved on. but on Easter Sunday afternoon it was completely the opposite. many employees on, mostly female, and extremely friendly and communicative. So we stayed for some. it really makes a difference. the various animals we drank were all excellent, and some tasted unusual. they serve beer in various festival glasses, a quirky touch. we sat outside in the surprisingly large garden, which has set plenty of shaded seating and tables on artificial grass. Despite these earlier impressions, nag’s head finally proved to be a top student and lived up to his call."
