"Went to Mestizo for a birthday party on the Saturday, returned on the Wednesday for more. Great to see a separate vegan menu and the staff were willing to remove cheese or other non-vegan ingredients from other dishes on the normal menu. Very helpful staff and very attentive. First time around I had the enchiladas de papa with rojas sauce. Delicious! A little spicy for me but the black beans and the rice really helped me with that! Second time around I had the guacamole then the vegetables slow cooked in a banana leaf. DELICIOUS. We also had a cactus ! salad on the side which they made vegan for me. Cactus is amazing tasting! Very happy to be able to get hibiscus tea in London as well. All round a great experience and delicious food."

"I'm disappointed to share my experience at this restaurant. I had made a reservation for my partner and me, and upon our arrival, we entered and waited at the front for someone to seat us. Unfortunately, the staff seemed unprepared for their duties. We stood by the entrance while two employees chatted and laughed in the kitchen, seemingly oblivious to us. The restaurant was completely empty, which was not surprising given the service we received. We tried to get their attention, and while they glanced our way, they continued their conversation without acknowledging us. A member of the kitchen staff even came out to joke around, but we were ignored once again. Feeling quite frustrated and disheartened, we decided to leave. It’s unfortunate because I believe our dining experience could have been enjoyable if the staff had been attentive and professional."

"It didn't start off very well as despite booking online and calling to confirm my reservation, upon arrival they didn't have a table for us. After a few minutes back and fourth they finally had us seated. Waiting staff were very friendly and kindly tended to us throughout. Unto the food.... It is prepared quite quickly, cooked really well full of distinctly Latin flavours. The tapa-style dishes were quite enjoyable and gave us some variety. The rice bowls were like a deconstructed burrito while the cachapa was a burrito with a corn flour wrap. The ambience is quite lively full of Latin inspired music and youthful exuberance. I think the price is not cheap but not expensive somewhere in the middle, but it is quite an authentic meal. So if you're looking for something a little different, good vibes, then this is the place but not somewhere for a quite romantic dinner to say the least."

"The restaurant was tucked away in a side street of a pretty quiet road so not the kind of place you regularly stumble across. However I’m glad I did cause it was a great dinner. The service was exceptional and recommended us some of the dishes that were really good and all of it was really nice. In terms of the drinks the cocktails were decent enough and the Venezuelan beer ‘Polar’ was particularly excellent The main portion sizes are a little on the smaller side but if you get a couple of tapas dishes with it to start then it’s pretty much perfect for 2 people Overall will for sure be going back and would definitely recommend it!"

"The food was amazing and the staff were friendly although I had to call them a few times before I could get thier attention and when they brought out my birthday dessert they didn't really make alot of effort to make it special apart from a sparkler on the ice cream. Apart from that everything was good."

"Review by Frau: The overall experience at this restaurant was good, with great starters, but there were a few disappointing aspects. Firstly, there was a delay in getting our food served. Secondly, the drinks we ordered were brought out inconsistently, with one of our drinks even given to another table. In terms of the food, my husband's steak and lamb were undercooked despite his request for them to be cooked thoroughly. The food was also too salty for my parents' liking, which is rare for us as a family who enjoys salty dishes. The prawn curry I had was advertised as a coconut curry but tasted predominantly of lime, which was unexpected. My sister's order of Tacos was initially forgotten until we reminded the waitress, who seemed reluctant to serve us and appeared disinterested. The cocktails we ordered seemed watered down, with little flavor. With improvements in communication and service, this restaurant has the potential to be a great dining spot."

"Review written by Frau. The overall experience was good, the starters were great, but there were a few things that left it down. 1) It took a while to get our food out. 2) The drinks we ordered came out in Dribs and Drabs. At one point, a drink for our table was given to another table. We got the same drink twice. It seemed a lack of communication between the waiters. 3) The food was nice, but my husband ordered his steak and lamb to be moderately heavy, but when it came, it was practically raw. He couldn't even cut it in. The waitress was nice enough to take it back and cooked it a little more. 4) My parents food was much too salty we are a family that salt so for us to say it was too salty really something. The waitress was nice enough to take it back and when it came out, it was much better. 5) I had the prawn curry that was nice, it said it was a coconut Calc curry, but everything you could taste was lime, which I didn't make so much, but after a while it was a little sharp. 6) We called the waitress again when my sister had ordered Tacos, but she didn't want to, but when we called the waitress, she made it clear that she was fed/hearted to come to our table. She sighed before speaking and her body language clearly showed that she did not want to be there. 7) The cocktails seemed as if they had watered down. I got the Bramble and when it came, it just tasted soda water, that was not great and so did my sisters cocktail. With adjustments to settings and service, it could be a really great place."

"This restaurant has a very casual dining atmosphere, so I'm not sure if making a reservation is really necessary, although it might be wise to do so on Thursday and Friday evenings after work. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. They seem to have a busy delivery service on Mondays. The Happy Hour drink specials are great for groups from the office. The food is decent and made to order behind the counter, though it could have been a bit hotter. It offers good value: for £27, you can get nachos, a quesadilla, a salad, a large burrito, and two classic margaritas. The staff are friendly and capable. I would definitely stop by for a quick bite or to spend time with friends and family."

"We visited a fantastic brunch place that offers plenty of gluten-free choices. We tried the pork shoulder arepas and they were absolutely delicious."

"The restaurant has a charming ambiance and is aesthetically pleasing. The food was decent/good, but the service was lacking. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes to receive our food, and we had to ask three times for water before it was brought to us. It seemed like there were not enough staff members, as more and more customers kept coming in. Several groups of people had to wait for extended periods of time. The establishment should consider limiting the number of patrons if the staff is struggling to keep up with the demand."
