"I recently dined at this Italian restaurant with my family, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. We tried a variety of dishes, each leaving a lasting impression. For the main course, the Numero Sei pizza stole the show. Its melt-in-the-mouth texture, soft interior, and perfectly crunchy crust made it a standout. Infused with Italian sausage, salami, and mushrooms over a fresh tomato sauce, and finished with bubbling mozzarella, this pizza was a symphony of flavours. The Melanzane alla Parmigiana offered another indulgent delight. The rich tomato sauce smothered the luscious aubergine, creating a mouthwatering combination that was enhanced by a generous layer of cheese. The Bufalina pizza, my personal choice, was a homemade masterpiece. The pizza boasted a perfectly cooked base – crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The beautiful and creamy buffalo mozzarella, complemented by the deep basil, added layers of flavor that delighted the taste buds. We concluded our culinary journey with two distinct desserts. The Chocolat Souflé provided a sweet and decadent ending, while the Gnocchi con Nutella, featuring gnocchi filled with Nutella and vanilla ice cream, was a unique and delightful treat. Beyond the exceptional food, the staff contributed significantly to our positive experience. The team was not only lovely but also engaged with us, providing insightful recommendations. Their friendly demeanor added to the overall warmth of the restaurant. The ambiance and decor were equally praiseworthy. The beautiful restaurant created a welcoming atmosphere that enhanced our dining experience. From the moment we entered, we felt the charm of the surroundings, making it a memorable evening for my family. In conclusion, this Italian restaurant not only offers an outstanding menu but also stands out for providing exceptional value for money. The Bufalina pizza, in particular, highlights their commitment to quality without compromising affordability. I eagerly anticipate my next visit to relish more of their delightful offerings, all while appreciating the budget-friendly aspect that makes this dining experience truly extraordinary."

"Had breakfast at Gastronomica in Pimlico, a cafe/deli that advertises itself quite rightly as Piemonte in Pimlico. Actually Gastronomica is a lot more that just this one cafe/deli. They have several market stalls (including one at Borough Market) and another couple of cafes in Wapping and Manchester as well as a wholesale food business. The cafe in the heart of Pimlico is not that pretty from the outside, as it is located in an unattractive red brick block of shops behind a rather garish red awning. Inside it is much more attractive, the Cafe area consists of a couple of large wooden tables and a few smaller ones, surrounded by shelves of Italian Wine and cabinets full of wonderful meats and cheese. The menu is quite small, mainly Italian sandwiches, cheese and meat boards and salads, but everything looks really good. My breakfast was just a simple ham and cheese tostado, served with a really good cup of coffee. They also had a selection of cakes, which were inviting enough for me to want to make a return visit to try them along with another cup of that coffee. It's always good to find an alternative to the ubiquitous Starbucks and Cafe Nero coffee shops. This place captures the best of Italy. It's very laid back, I particularly liked the way they went off menu to please a family that just wanted toast and jam for their kids. You definitely don't see that in Starbucks."

"aaahhh, La Pappardella....There's nothing I can say that can give their food justice...I've known La Pappardella for years, though I haven't been there for a while, until recently, where my husband and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary. So we went there full of hopes for a delicious, romatic evening. And such evening we've had.We were greeted by two of their staff and even though we have booked a table, they gave us a free choice to sit wherever we wanted. The restaurant is small but they do have some sitting downstairsin and in the back garden in the summer. We've ordered a nice bottle of white wine. The choice on the menu is endless. Anything from pasta through risotto to pizzas and salads. We started off with grilled prawns and carpaccio. Now, I'm not a big fan of sea food, but I scoffed up almost all of my husband's starter. Carpaccio: tender and full of flavour. For main, my hubby chose risotto. That was the biggest plate i have seen while eating out. It was rich and creamy with fresh chicken and tender veg. I went for a lobster spaghetti. A bit extravagant, but it was a special occasion and I just wanted to compare London's lobster to the one we had in St Kitts. Well, I was not dissapointed. A huge plate of pasta (though it was slightly over-cooked and i like mine a bit tenter) in a rich, fresh tomato and a hint of a chilli sauce and there, on top, lay the lobster in its full glory: cut in quarters. It was delicious and... messy.... I never had to play with tools like this before, as previously I had my lobster shelled. But it was so much fun to get dirty.Ice-cream based desserts were the perfect finish to a lovely meal. At the ned, we received complimentary shots of lemon flavoured course meal for with bottle of wine and service we have paid which is an absolute bargain for the quality of food and service you'll receive in return.I love that little place and we just keep coming back for more.Buon apetito!"
