"My partner and I were on holiday in the area for my birthday, and I was really excited to try the ice cream from Happy Daze after visiting the Navel Museum nearby. Unfortunately, when we arrived at Happy Daze at 4:00 p.m on Tuesday 10 September, it was closed. There was no sign on the door indicating if there was an emergency or if it was permanently closed. I may never find out the reason as I do not plan on returning to the North East anytime soon."
