"This used to the Witness Box, a pub frequented by us almost 30 years ago, and ideally located for a reunion. Outstandingly nice and welcoming staff, good facilities in a kind of alcove table near the bar, and a wide choice of food and drinks. One quibble: no cask ale, but not so crucial they had good Amstel. Thought it would be a problem booking food in advance but all went well enough and it did enable the food to be served relatively quickly once we were all assembled. One or two were not overly impressed with the menu, for example a burger failed to please, but as an event it was the right choice of venue and frankly I would use it again. I did think it was a bit procey but Central London in prime lawyer territory is bound to be I guess. The service with a smile by the waiter Noel was really good and helpful."
