"When I ordered, I mentioned the 50% discount that was supposed to apply, and the server assured me it would be honored. I placed my order, and while the eckribs were enjoyable, the krabbenburger had an unappealing texture similar to cottage cheese. The strawberry cocktails were bland and tasteless. In fact, I didn’t eat the krabbenburger at all because we were waiting for someone to check on us, but nobody came. When the bill arrived, I brought up the issue with the krabbenburger, and the server removed it from the total. However, as we paid the bill, I noticed that the 50% discount had not been applied. I pointed out their mistake, but they said there was nothing they could do and just stared at me, waiting for me to leave. I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant."

"My daughter treated me to a birthday treat. The place is in a good place. Trinity Arcade leeds. The atmosphere was relaxed but friendly. Very light and airy place.customer service was 100%. Food was excellent very tasty. Very good place for couples wanting time to there self. Disabled would be able to access this lovely restaurant. Would highly recommend to anybody. Excellent experience. Would go back again. To try more of the menu."

"Hubby and I have had breakfast in there past few weeks after Tesco shopping. The service is exceptional, the staff are extremely pleasant, helpful and kind. The pina colada cocktails are fab and tasty made by Jess (I believe. Ben who served us was a lovely guy as others are but unfortunately not sure of their names. Food tastes delicious. The eggs are top quality and bacon lovely and tender. Think it will be a regular visit now. Well done everyone"

"The restaurant seemed understaffed. We waited a long time for our plates to be cleaned from our table, after both courses. Multiple items were missing from the menu when we visited too. Some of our drinks were flat and, while they were replaced, the replacements were also under carbonated. Our celebration dinner wasn't much the fanfare we'd hoped. Having visited other chain restaurants we were expecting some sort of special birthday dessert or drink of some kind. Alas, nothing arrived and we paid our bill with some plates still on our table. The food coming from the kitchen was of a good standard and the waiting staff friendly when they were at our table but, I probably won't go back. This was the 2nd time in 3 weeks the restaurant has underperformed, in my opinion."

"I've past this Giraffe a few times in the past and especially in the morning, it's busy in the morning. When you book a table online it will give you two options; standard or top. I booked it standard but I was curious of the top option, so I've changed it and was happy with the result. Location is within 10min of Victoria station, venue has both in/or outdoor seating so option is there. It's not a super big venue but it seems that there are enough decent space between the tables. Service was ok, they were not a lot of people in the restaurant so not sure why it took longer to get our main when my main came, the visual appearance is nice but the chicken was lukewarm and borderline cold. Didn't complain cus I was not sure if the chicken was meant to be cold as the salad plate that I got, well it was cold. It's a nice restaurant and worth a visit. The while Giraffe set up reminds me a bit of Zizi."

"Gails Kitchen serves some pretty darn good food for a relatively good price. The place is owned by the famous Gails Bakery and was recently awarded the Michelins Bib Gourmand 2014. The food is inspired by bread and bread oven that was transferred from Gails Artisan Bakery. The food is all about sharing as each plate comes in a sharing size portion. "It was a really disappointing end to a beautiful day. The employees at the door were challenging during our booking, with nothing on their smart tablet to confirm our reservation. When we showed them our email confirmation, they begrudgingly allowed us in but said we needed to leave in 1.5 hours. It was rude and uncalled for. We will never return to this restaurant, as there are so many other options available that will not waste our time or money. Additionally, the practice of adding a service charge to the bill when the service was nonexistent was annoying. Making it a standard practice instead of a personal attempt to be nice was obvious that night. Is this the worst customer service ever?"

"I had booking for 6 pm on Sunday and when I arrived with my family I’ve been told they are closed. The restaurant we though it’s gonna look like like a nice family one but it doesn’t even. Such a disappointment no one even contacted us since there and we weren’t local what best it was our anniversary so we though we might spend also with child .. horrible I don’t recommend at all . "When I arrived I was greeted by a member of the staff telling me that they weren’t taken any more booking without even asking if I had booked a table, we were then giving 2 separate booth’s even though our party was six and four of those were children which wasn’t great but acceptable as we were next to each other. When the food came which we had burnt burger buns for two orders and tomatoes on a pizzas which we asked for NO tomatoes, the fish was over cooked and greasy all in all not a great experience"

"First time eating at Giraffe post-lockdown and took my daughter for a post shopping treat. Food and service were both pretty good the spicy calamari starter was particularly tasty!! Only downside was the automatic addition of 10% service charge into the bill slightly detracted from the experience overall."
