"I've past this Giraffe a few times in the past and especially in the morning, it's busy in the morning. When you book a table online it will give you two options; standard or top. I booked it standard but I was curious of the top option, so I've changed it and was happy with the result. Location is within 10min of Victoria station, venue has both in/or outdoor seating so option is there. It's not a super big venue but it seems that there are enough decent space between the tables. Service was ok, they were not a lot of people in the restaurant so not sure why it took longer to get our main when my main came, the visual appearance is nice but the chicken was lukewarm and borderline cold. Didn't complain cus I was not sure if the chicken was meant to be cold as the salad plate that I got, well it was cold. It's a nice restaurant and worth a visit. The while Giraffe set up reminds me a bit of Zizi."

"The service was fantastic. Staff were super friendly and atmosphere was really chilled. Slightly disappointed as my first two choice of drinks were unavailable as was my first choice desert. However, the quality of food compensated for this. Would definitely recommend this place."

"When I ordered, I mentioned the 50% discount that was supposed to apply, and the server assured me it would be honored. I placed my order, and while the eckribs were enjoyable, the krabbenburger had an unappealing texture similar to cottage cheese. The strawberry cocktails were bland and tasteless. In fact, I didn’t eat the krabbenburger at all because we were waiting for someone to check on us, but nobody came. When the bill arrived, I brought up the issue with the krabbenburger, and the server removed it from the total. However, as we paid the bill, I noticed that the 50% discount had not been applied. I pointed out their mistake, but they said there was nothing they could do and just stared at me, waiting for me to leave. I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant."

"Hubby and I have had breakfast in there past few weeks after Tesco shopping. The service is exceptional, the staff are extremely pleasant, helpful and kind. The pina colada cocktails are fab and tasty made by Jess (I believe. Ben who served us was a lovely guy as others are but unfortunately not sure of their names. Food tastes delicious. The eggs are top quality and bacon lovely and tender. Think it will be a regular visit now. Well done everyone"

"Such a lovely experience. Went for a meal with my friend and it was her first time going and she loved it. The hummus plate was delicious as always and so was the hanging chicken kebab. The staff was lovely and service was very quick. Our server Kieran was wonderful any questions we had he answered straight away. Just a wonderful experience."

"The restaurant is conveniently located in the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet and has attentive, friendly staff. The food is decent, though a bit overpriced for what you get - think TGI Fridays but more expensive with smaller portions. Annoyingly, they tack on a 10% 'optional' service charge regardless of party size. I was surprised to find this additional charge of £9 buried in the middle of the bill, making it difficult to spot at first glance. By the time I noticed, it was too late as I had already paid. I suspect they rely on customers not noticing or feeling too awkward to question it. I believe this practice of adding hidden charges without clear consent should be illegal. I will not be returning to this restaurant to be taken advantage of again. Once bitten, twice shy."

"Gails Kitchen serves some pretty darn good food for a relatively good price. The place is owned by the famous Gails Bakery and was recently awarded the Michelins Bib Gourmand 2014. The food is inspired by bread and bread oven that was transferred from Gails Artisan Bakery. The food is all about sharing as each plate comes in a sharing size portion. "The food we had was nice enough was served hot in a timely manner, however there just wasn’t enough to justify the prices. Thankfully we had a code for half price mains that’s probably how much it was worth. I had the swinging kebab which consisted of 5-6 small pieces of chicken the rest of the dish was padded out with salad flatbread. My husband had the Korean BBQ chicken which again didn’t consist of enough chicken was padded out with grated carrot slaw. We felt like we’d had a light lunch rather than a main course we’d paid £13-£15 each for. Unfortunately wouldn’t choose to go again if paying full price, as it just wouldn’t be value for money."

"It was a really disappointing end to a beautiful day. The employees at the door were challenging during our booking, with nothing on their smart tablet to confirm our reservation. When we showed them our email confirmation, they begrudgingly allowed us in but said we needed to leave in 1.5 hours. It was rude and uncalled for. We will never return to this restaurant, as there are so many other options available that will not waste our time or money. Additionally, the practice of adding a service charge to the bill when the service was nonexistent was annoying. Making it a standard practice instead of a personal attempt to be nice was obvious that night. Is this the worst customer service ever?"

"Amazing Japanese food in grand central. Restaurant itself is quite small as we had to wait for a seat, and service was slightly slow due to there being a lot of customers. Food here was delicious. Ordered a bento box, chicken and prawn teriyaki, and ramen. The bento box was amazing, it was my first time trying sushi and I enjoyed it, will definitely be trying more again, it was fresh and there was a variety of things to try! The teriyaki was delicious, it was full of flavour and there was plenty of veg, it was all made freshly too. Despite it being busy the staff were very friendly and did check up on us so service was good. Will definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu!"
