"I have visited this restaurant twice now, once in the afternoon just for coffee, and we enjoyed the atmosphere so much that we returned for dinner one evening. It is a very relaxed and inviting place with high-quality food at a reasonable price. The ambiance is lovely and there is no sense of rush or pressure. The staff is accommodating and attentive to your needs and requests. I would definitely visit again."

"I used to eat here when it was known under a different name and the new decor is very different, think modern, high class boutique hotel rather than they previous romanticfading nightclub theme.They are accepting very few covers so it was not at all busy but this also meant very few staff so it was occasionally hard to catch the eye of a waiter. The food overall was good and my vegetarian friend was particulalry pleased that they didn't take the usual 'v' option cop outs. I had a passable but not brilliant Chicken roulade which was slightly overcooked but slipped down well with an excellent Riesling. My main course was panfried Salmon and was on a completely different level perfectly prepared and delicious. Portion sizes were reminiscent of nouvell cuisine however and at per head for a set two course lunch its not the sort of place you're going to nip to for a spot of lunch on a regular basis unless you enjoy poor value. The wine list had some good depth and prices weren't terrible but it was clear to see where the profit lies. I understand they are offering cream teas in later afternoon and I'll probably give them another opportunity to empty my wallet as overall it was a very pleasant experience if you are looking for a chance to chat and drink rather than setup for a night on the town"

"the fit for fumo at selfridges should be a million morling. a crazy amount of money for each restaurant, but given a particularly obscene sum (and yes, the note is in the name), that it is within the limits of a load. when I first heard the plans, I thought the owner would have lost his marmore and now that I sat in the fourth floor restaurant, it is clear that someone else found them and sold them to him with a massive win. it is a mass of polished calacatta, the type that I sell for a day job and ask who buys it on the type of money that it commands. Answer: here. it smells like money. from high heels with colored sohlen, from oversized handbags with padlocks and from perfume from the trenches of Roman gypsy. Maybe I did the last piece. even the tables are thicker marble, our a large disc in the center of the room large enough for six big gents and six bigger egos."

"We met the rudest waiter ever. We sat on a table outside and the restaurant was more than half empty. We waited for 5minutes and no one came. Then we saw a waiter inside serving clients. When i came near to him to ask how to proceed, he said that we did not have the right to sit if he did not allow us to do so. He was then very impolite and kept on repeating the same sentence. We left immediately after that incident. I travel a lot and always go to restaurant and never saw such behavior in other places."

"Good pizza doesn't require gimmicks and La Cucina does good pizza. The margarita on its own would have been amazing, without having to add other toppings! Prices were fair and staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. It was busy without seeming busy and the staff were in total control. would recommend and intend to go again when I visit Stirling next."

"We stumbled across this restaurant after attempting to get a table at ASK Italian, our usual haunt, only to discover they were taking bookings only. What a brilliant find. No fuss, just great, friendly service and really, really good food. The front window looked like it had been vandalised and awaiting repair, which could easily put people off (town louts! but it shouldn't. We will come back here next time we are in York. Can't recommend the delicious food and great service more highly. Could probably do with a little makeover inside but that didn't matter at all."

"We were looking so much forward to this evening. Having eaten at a few michelin starred restaurants around the world we had some expectations for food and service. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with Locanda Locatelli. We were a party of 4 and it was a birthday dinner. The only really good dish was the sepia antipasto, all the other dishes were average or below, felt totally uninspired and were far from 1 michelin star quality. E.g. the burrata antipasto was boring, lacked salt and some acidity. The gnocchi with goat cheese and truffle were nice, but it would have tasted exactly the same without the truffle, as we could neither smell nor taste this truffle, even though ther was abundantly on the dish, we found this very strange... Also the fried zucchini lacked salt and were hence not as pleasant to eat as they could have been. Also, in a restaurant like this, I expect the chef to greet the guests at some point during the evening, which unfortunately did not happen. Also, we got unlucky with our waitress. We had 2 people in our party that only spoke Italian and we got the only waitress who didn't speak the language. She was friendly, but also very insecure and I always felt pity when she presented the dishes because she did this in a very peculiar way. Also, to be honest, all these fabric bracelets around her wrists felt very unhygienic... All the other waiters, the maître d' and the sommelier were fantastic though! They also did their best to make up for it when we shared that we weren't happy about the food. It is for this quality of service that I give 3 stars to this post. Service 5, Food 2!"

"I had a reservation but the restaurant was nearly empty. The food that one table had looked great but unfortunately after ordering drinks, we were unable to get any service. There were only three groups in the place. It also didnt smell of food at all and we would have thought they weren't serving any if not for the other table. This was meant to be a birthday dinner for my husband and we ultimately had to go somewhere else, which was disappointing."

We arrive 7:20 pm 40 minutes later someone came to ask about drinks so we ordered drinks and food, another 15 minutes later our drinks came in, starters were served 10 minutes after the drink and by 9 pm we got our main dinner, no one came to ask if we wanted another drink or anything, it’s was just like they didn’t care about the customers because we wasn’t the only one who had the bad experience, other tables were worse 2 tables who were there before we arrived were served after our dinner. It’s a shame because the Food was really nice. Unfortunately we will not come back there again"

"I ate dinner with a friend at Pappa Roma on a Saturday evening. We ordered a quattro stagioni pizza and a seafood pasta. Both were tasty, and the portions were generous. The prices were very affordable too. The staff member who seated us at first was somewhat detached, but during the meal the staff were helpful and responded to our requests quickly. However, we found the atmosphere very poor. We were seated in a downstairs area that had a huge screen showing a football match. It was noisy and distracting, although to their credit the staff turned the sound to a lower setting when I asked. Later on, the staff put on some radio music which was loud and offputting (especially during the commercials); again, they did turn it to a quieter setting when I asked, but it was still distracting."

"Finally we have a real coffee house in hemel hempstead. true Italian coffee, I was in the last three days and every day the coffee was constantly good, various baristas each time.
