"I initially disappointed that it was so quiet for a Saturday night, but a few more people came in after us. Given that it wasn't busy, service was a bit slow and not great. My starter (beetroot salad with walnuts) was good, but main course of smoked aubergine ravioli was not hot, and was smothered in too much sauce. One friend had Sliders, which arrived with not even a lettuce leaf on the side, so looked very stark on the plate, and other friend had veal escalope with loads of salad, which seemed a strange accompaniment. It didn't look very appetising, and she didn't eat half of it. We chose a Sauvignon Blanc which was fine but it wasn't Australian, so overall, I'm sorry, but I wouldn't recommend. One friend had eaten brunch in the Richmond branch and said it was great, but there is quite a difference between brunch and dinner."

"The next day, my husband and I returned to the restaurant and enjoyed sitting outside with a coffee in the sunshine after our meal. The indoor seating was a welcome relief from the heat and was refreshing. I look forward to returning to this restaurant. Although I didn't catch their names, I interacted with 5 employees who were nothing like what some negative reviews have described. I traveled 15 miles to dine here when asked where I wanted to go for my birthday, which speaks volumes about the quality of this establishment. "Good to be back in Oxford after not visiting for a while. We went back to Bella Italia for our evening meal as we were so impressed with the food. I'm pleased to say that our visit was as good as last time. An excellent menu selection with a variety of dishes including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. They really have got that sussed. When you arrive, the person on the door checks if any guests have special dietary needs and the menu confirms what is available. We noticed quite a few tables with dishes indicating gluten free etc which shows how seriously Bella Italia takes things. The staff at this Bella Italia are lovely very pleasant, cheerful and friendly. Many thanks to Fiori for such a lovely welcome and excellent service. Very highly recommended."

"We stayed at Huckleberry Cottage for two days while attending a wonderful family wedding.Thank you to Donna the wonderful wedding planner for her empathy and kindness.Also special thanks to Anne ,Mathew the barman and the outstanding chefs.Absolutely 5 in every way. Rooms: Our cottage was perfect-beautifully clean and equipped for all needs. Parking area just outside too.We enjoyed making use of the ‘wood burner effect’ gas fire too.We enjoyed playing board games and were pleased to see a whole drawer of DVD’s which we didn’t have time to use.High quality accessories such as hand creams and washing materials . 5 Food drinks: All the meals were absolutely delicious -so freshly prepared and beautifully presented too."

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is all on the ground floor..there maybe a very small threshold to get over at the door.. I can't remember..but once inside all the furniture is movable so I strongly suspect it would be fine for a person using a wheelchair or who has restricted mobility"

"When we first got there, everything seemed great and lovely, the place looked nice and seemed to have a great atmosphere. We were seated fairly quickly and had no troubles in terms of our reservation. However as the night progressed things just started to go down hill. At first it took around 20 minutes to be waited on, which fine I can understand that, they took our orders and I thought great. However we were waiting nearly another 20 minutes just to get drinks, and even then they completely forgot around 3 out of 9 of our drinks and in the end ended up not given a drink to one of them the whole night at all. Starters came out soon after, They were nice nothing special, I cant complain. We didn't get our actual mains until around an hour after we ordered (bear in mind not everyone of us got starters). The mains come out and mine was cold, but I had been waiting so long that at this rate I just ate it and didn't complain. I had a friend who had one of the pasta options who's plate was filled with a sloppy, water substance. The meals were nothing special, pretty mediocre to be honest. We were then waiting another 30ish minutes wating for our dessert orders to be taken. They finally did and I will say they came out pretty quick and were okay, definitely the best meal we all had there. The worst part is when it came to us all waiting for the bill, we were ignored by staff when we tried getting there attention to ask for the bill, after having waited patiently for a good 30 minutes. It got to the point we put our hands up, made direct eye contact with them and they still ignored us. We put all our dessert plates towards the end of the table hoping they would see we where done, but nope. Our waitress left as well. As someone who has severe anxiety and social anxiety, I started to find this unbearable, which yes they don't know I have that but still it is there job to be looking after their customers. When we finally got the bill we, as we were doing separate bills, had to figure it out ourselves, with little to no indication from the new waitress that we had (our previous one having left). It was a nightmare and so disorganised. our reservation was at 7 in the evening and we didn't leave until nearly 3 hours later, almost 10 o'clock in the evening. It was supposed to be a great night and yet it was just full of stress. As we here leaving we overheard a table next to us speaking to one of the waiters that they had ordered desserts over 30mins ago and they had still yet to come out. I was shocked. I will say the toilets upstairs were nice."
