"Unfortunately, we did not get our reservation at The Duck on the Pond. By pure coincidence, we discovered just 48 hours before our visit that the restaurant was closed until further notice. This information only came to light after I had tried calling numerous times to change the time of our reservation and eventually sent an email on the off chance that someone would respond. It would have been much appreciated if we had received more notice. Since we do not live locally and were visiting the area for the weekend, we were fortunate to learn about the closure in advance and brought our own food with us. It would have been frustrating to get dressed up and then find the restaurant closed. Instead of sending us an email asking if we enjoyed ourselves, it would have been better to have been notified about the closure."
