"This was the third time we came to the Smoke House and I have to say firstly the positive points: Very nice clean restaurant Ambiance is very good Staff very friendly Not so good points: I came for a family occasion and my wife, children and I were taken into a back area seating when there was plenty at the front and this area was cold (not sure why we were seated there) Starter of Italian sausage was warm, not too hot, and sauce tasted like it was from a jar. Main meal took way too long to arrive (The waitress apologised for the very slow service) Ordered a 1 1/2 rack of ribs which were over cooked or old meat not sure which but even my 10 year old who loves eating ribs said it was chewy and tasted awful (if they had been as they should have, then probably the waiting time may have not been such an issue) I was not asked how I liked my burger cooked, but to be fair I never said either, but it arrived like it had been blow torched to a cinder and the lettuce on it was old discoloured (I did mention this to the waiter on the way out) The order of nachos classic was more just nachos with very little of anything else. Now, to be fair, i would say that the last time times we visited the waiting time was not so long and only issue we had was that we had to point out we were overcharged which was corrected immediately. The staff are extremely friendly so this is more about the restaurant experience as a whole. Way to expensive for the quality of food. Thank you"

"The service was good. Really nice waiter. I didn't like the macaroni and the waiter took it off my bill even though I was willing to pay. So found that brilliant customer service. I had the hot dog with blackened sweet potatoe and macaroni cheese. Hot dog was standard. Nice. Was pleased with it. Sweet potatoes was nice. Very peculiar seasoning combination that I hadn't tried before. Quite tangy but I enjoyed it all the same. I just love sweet potatoes. The coleslaw that came with the hotdog was ok Again for me weird flavour combinations. Not what I'm used to but it was ok. It had a variety of vegetables in it which was nice but more tangy than I would have preferred. Finally the Mac n cheese. I personally found it too creamy/milky. And since my stomach was sensitive I couldn't eat it otherwise I would have thrown up. If you love creamy food you will probably enjoy it. But I prefer my Mac n cheese with stronger cheese, less cream and more seasoning. Probably wouldn't order that dish again. Atmosphere was lovely. I dined alone and felt completely comfortable. I liked the decor. Very much like a diner with a bit more funk/style. Seating was comfortable. So overall I did enjoy myself. I may come back and try something else. Food wasn't amazing. But satisfying nonetheless. So if you want something easy going with a slightly different flavour choice then this restaurant is great. But if you want really big flavours. Something to make you say wow. Then this place isn't for you. P.s my bill came to 11.50 for the potatoes and hotdog to give you an idea on pricing £4 potatoe £7.50 hotdog with coleslaw)"
