"Excellent in every way . From the food to the service and the ambiance. Just the right amount of menu choice with sensible portion sizes. At for two including a nice bottle of wine and an aperitif each it was excellent value although there were cheaper options if you wanted. We were on holiday so it was lovely to find such a gem"

"We had a lovely evening meal. We tried the kids menu for our 14 month old daughter which was only £4.95 for 2 courses. She had a massive adults size portion of Mac n cheese which I would have even struggled to finish. And also 2 scoops of ice cream for desert. This was great value, even if it was clearly too much. My fish and chips were delicious as was my wife’s lamb shank. Good range of drinks. All at a reasonable cost"

"When we arrived there was no staff around so we waited and after 20 minute mutes I had to go to the bar where I was told she was very busy and would get to us which she did 10 minutes later. We sat in the bar to have a drink but 30 minutes later I had to go to look for a member of staff. There were none in the restaurant. Back to the bar! A gentleman there said he would go to look for someone! Eventually we were shown to a table and our afternoon tea was delivered 10 mins mutes later. Whilst we enjoyed our tea 3 members of staff were moving tables and chairs all around us. An hour later once again I had to go to the bar to ask for our bill! Very unsatisfactory. Whilst we enjoyed the food the service was appalling."
