"Popped in for lunch. Can't comment on the hotel, although it did seem busy with people checking in. The pub has got that shabby chic vibe. I got the £6.50 burger and chips lunchtime deal plus a black coffee for £2.70. The burger and chips were nice it didn't come on a plate, just wrapped with the chips in a paper chip holder. I thought £2.70 for a small coffee was a bit steep. The lunch time was popular with workers from the HS2 and nearby office staff taking advantage of the pubs location. If you are in the area and feeling the rumble, the lunchtime offer runs from midday till 4 o/c, but it's best to check before as this may change."
