Breaded and fried chicken breast, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside.

"We love Purbani and wouldnât eat Indian locally elsewhere. The food is always delicious, the staff is always really friendly and positive, and we always have a great time. Itâs good value for money, too, and quiet enough that you can chat. Canât recommend enough."

"I ordered a turkey gobbler sub and was surprised to find it made with smoked turkey and without jellied cranberry sauce. Unfortunately, the sub was quite disappointing and very salty. My friend paid for it, so I didn't voice my concerns at the time, but the shop really needs to improve their sub-making skills. I used to run a deli, and our turkey gobblers were definitely worth reordering, unlike this one."

"What a meal and great service, I'm not one for choosing Indian food all the time so pretty unsure what I wanted when I visited Calcutta Club. Sonia was our waitress and very welcoming and also helped us choose our main meals, the lamb platter to share is amazing. Stacey asked for madras and was asked if she'd prefer another dish similar and took it great advice from Sonia, sorry cany rememberwhat it was . I had the chicken tandoori and was also asked to try some sauce with it again amazing. We're a good 2 hours drive from here and try to get over for a bit of a break every few weeks The restaurant is amazing and we will be visiting here again. Do you self a favour and make sure you book, I always book when looki g on Google for places to eat."

"Really good selection of Italian dishes here, service was excellent all night, there are other Italian restaurants in Bedford which have a more authentic Italian feel about them, music, etc and we did go on a Saturday night night, the room was packed and there was a point it was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. However it was still a very good restaurant. Parking is limited"

"Very good experience on a busy Saturday night. This place can seat about 40 and it was full. Nevertheless, service was quick and the food came at a decent speed. The food is the star here. We had 3 different dishes and all we well cooked, excellently spiced and very tasty. Portions were large as well, with plenty of food on the plate. Some free bread with olives to start as well as a mini Turkish pizza each just added to the evening. We had a dessert as well. Typical Turkish sweets, full of syrup and very well made. The baklava was one of the best we've ever had. Prices for what we had were reasonable as well, coming in at just below £28 per head. We didn't have any alcohol, so if you do, you can expect a significant increase. The owners were friendly and did not bother us too much, leaving us to enjoy our food. You really must book at this place. I saw 3 different couples turned away as they did not have a booking. Good food, reasonably priced in a nice environment with good service. Very highly recommended."

"I discovered this restaurant through tripadvisors, and since then we have become regulars. The staff is really nice, the food always tastes amazing and fresh, there is a great selection, I love it! Favourites are the boneless ribs for a grill (you can make it at the table just like in Korea), kimchi, spicy edamame, sunflower roll, philadelphia roll, rainbow roll probably many more I can't think of rn! For sushi authentic Korean food it has a very reasonable price on top of everything. Love love love it, I could eat here every second day!!!"

"I have had 2 party's at the wine bar now this year one for my daughter Millie's 18th in April and now for my birthday. Both outside.. I would just like to say how fantastic Stephen and Alex are.. they trueloy looked after all my guests all evening Topping up their glasses with prosecco and working the outside bar all night. So many compliments were received from my guests on Stephen!! He's such a great guy! Both brilliant thank you so much for helping to make both party's such a great success.. I thoroughly recommend the wine bar for a party venue... just brilliant!!!"

"Absolutely fantastic Greek restaurant! I would give it a perfect score of 10/10. They were extremely accommodating and mindful of gluten-free options. The salmon I had was the best I've ever tasted! Everything was delicious—the Greek salad and tzatziki were amazing, and the cocktails were great too. The atmosphere truly feels like a cozy little Greek tavern."

"Was attending an event at the Royal Albert Hall at the weekend and stayed here. The staff were friendly and helpful. On a return from our event even though the pub was busy the bartender found time to make us hot chocolate! Which incidentally was delicious. Our room was lovely and despite being over the bar no noise. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend"

"Some of the portions for things are really big for example Korean style ramen (it was bigger than my face and I had to take some for takeaway). This restaurant allowed me to try new dishes and I think I had a really good experience considering I'm a picky eater. It was a pleasure to eat here. I highly recommend getting toppoki (I know I've spelt this wrong). Their miso soup wasn't to my tastes but it's worth trying nonetheless! The food is quite pricey so it's not somewhere you'd go all regularly but each time you go I'm sure it would be great. At the end of meal and when you pay for the bill they'll give you little sweets which is all the more reason I would go there. All in all, it was a pleasure to eat here and I'd recommend you give it a go."

"A quiet, clean pub in the Wetherspoon's chain, Goodman's Field has little or no character, and about as much charm as a variable rate ISA. However, we shouldn't really hold this against it since what it lacks in charm it also lacks in offence. It's a large, quiet, modern pub situated just round the corner from Tower Gateway. Like most Wetherspoons, it has themed kitchen nights, such as a Curry Night on Thursdays. The curry is bland but satisfying par for the course really, and is also very reasonably priced with generous portions. Where this pub does excel itself though, is in the selection of guest beers, ales and bitters. Ranging from an American bitter that weighs in at a hefty 8% abv (which while tasty does resemble a pint of mildly carbonated whisky) to a Dutch beer made with chocolate (which does taste as weird as it sounds), it's worth seeing what's on offer. If you fancy a quiet drink as you pass through the area, possibly as a resting spot before moving on, this large, quiet comfortable pub is probably right up your street. There is a plethora of seating, with a comfy area boasting several large leather armchairs, and two or three flat screen televisions showing sports at a low volume, when there is sport to show. Add to that the fact the pub is open on Sundays in an area of London usually devoid of life, and this pub is ideal when you have a large group of folk looking for a drink, and the company is more important than the venue. Be aware though there are better pubs in the area, such as The Dickens Inn, but Goodman's Field does fill a gap in the pub market, playing to those who don't like the hustle and bustle of a busy, mostly standing room only pub, but would like to sit down with friends, and chat over an inoffensive curry and a pint of beer with something interesting in it."

"I read a few of the other reviews and can only say that I think action has been taken on what's been said. The barman (who yes, looks a bit like Elvis was nice, the food was great (we had two fish and chips, even though the kitchen had just closed, he made a cheerful successful attempt to persuade the cooking staff to stay and the food was really good! . It's more of a proper London pub (the photo with the red bar stools is from somewhere else with oak panel walls and a bit of a swirly carpet, and in that vein, you are reliant on good conversation, good beer and good food to have a good time. No noisy jukebox, no rattling acoustics, slightly sticky tables (but they're clean . Comfortable seating, lots of space, reasonable prices. What more could you want? I'd really recommend it for people who want a slice of genuine London, rather than a slice of manufactured London. Thanks guys I come infrequently, but every time I do come, it's a relief from the busy, crowded, other places in the area!"
