"Great fish and chips! I called to check they had some, they were really considerate and reassuring about their gluten free options (the batter, chips and vinegar are gluten free) and offered to cook it so it was ready when we arrived. Were super helpful and friendly. And best of all the fish and chips were great! Chunky chips. Crisp batter. Perfect fish. Just be aware they only take cash!"

"After trying most chippies in the area including the expensive one near Hove station which is so hipstery even the fish have beards, we discovered the Sea Horse. And what a find. The batter they use on their fish and sausages is so cripsy, and thick. They serve you super quickly and they are extremely good value. In the hipster place near the station a large cod is £8 at the Seahorse it's £5 and I much prefer it! If you're reading reviews looking for a good chippy then give the sea horse a go you won't be disappointed. Top tip: I always collect to ensure freshness, and always ask for no salt and vinegar on the fish and crucially ask for the fish to be wrapped separately!"

"Food is good enough but like I've seen someone else state on here the cook is one of the rudest people to the young lads and girls that serve for him. Ask for something that he doesn't already have warm in the cabinet and it's like you're doing him a disservice. That's your job pal to serve what the customer wants from your menu. Always gives the place a horrid atmosphere and I feel sorry for the people that have to work in his presence and be subjected to that rubbish behaviour from a grown man."

"We absolutely loved the hotel! The cathedral is directly across the street, and the castle is only a five-minute walk away. The toilet roll dispenser was impressively hygienic, and everything in the hotel was spacious and impeccably clean. Every time I passed by the old paintings and framed tapestries, I felt as though I were staying in a charming state house. The owners, May and her partner, had to work incredibly hard to keep the hotel running during the lockdown. Their neighboring business, Gordon's Fish and Chip Shop, is quite popular among people heading home after a night out. The only downside was the noise from the high street during the Rochester Castle Festival."

"I ordered 4 xl pizzas, they were delivered and the whilst the driver didn'y speak at all that wasn't something i'd grumble on. Pizza's were great the office enjoyed them. However, when I ordered directly with them instead of using an alternate online service no pizza arrived, after waiting an 50 minutes i rang them to be told it would be another 40 minutes. So when I advised to cancel, as everyone had waited long enough, the guy on the phone called me a p--ck and shut the call. I found this absoloutely unacceptable behaviour from a place that was to be the office regular. I don't see that happening now, I hope the satisfaction of being abusive to customers over the phone outweighs the need for business, because business isn't something that anyone here will be giving them."
