"I visited this place at lunchtime with a friend who lives in Hull, so she recommended it. There was seating inside, as well as some outside on the street. It had a nice relaxed atmosphere, with piano music playing. We were told we could order by the app, which allows 10% off the bill. Or we could order at the bar. We decided it would be easier and quicker for us to order at the bar. But we were met by a very unwelcoming guy who told us that he didn’t have time to take our order, as he was far too busy. So our only option was the app! Not the best customer service, but anyway we ordered by the app which was fairly straight forward. The food was very nice and we had a lovely relaxing catch up. I would definitely recommend this place also visit again. Despite the stressed out moody barman, the rest of the staff were lovely the service was excellent."

"The Parlour is situated on the 1st floor of F&M, and I managed to stop by recently for some coffee and scones. Whilst the pricing isn’t cheap, I found the pricing of the coffee to be very expensive, and unfortunately not that good. £5.50 for a flat white really is the pushing it, but the least I would expect for that price is amazing coffee, which it was not. The scones were good, and came out warm, which is a bonus. The price of the scones in comparison to the coffee was actually ok. The cafe itself is a little on the cold side, and I’m not sure if that’s to do with the ice cream refrigerator, but I had to keep my coat on whilst I had my coffee."

"I’ve only ever walked through the Corn Exchange once. Many many years ago. It completely bored me. I remember it being sparse, unimaginative with not much in there apart from the occasional art exhibition (the exhibits were always pretty good though). From the moment we heard Pho Manchester was opening, this restaurant sparked controversy in our house. Mo and I battled it out on how to pronounce this restaurant’s name, our Fantastic Four whatsapp group even changed to ‘Foh’ or ‘Fuh’ whilst we both constantly pleaded cases to prove each other wrong. "I went for a business lunch, and although I wouldn't say it was a bad experience, I would be hard pressed to say it was an excellent one the portion sizes were a little hit and miss (very large side orders, but the starters felt a little small), and the service was not top notch. Being an Italian restaurant, I would have expected the waitress to know what a Negroni was, but that aside, things like the water not being left on the table and them forgetting to bring sides with the main course and needing to be reminded let the service down. It was not overly busy on the day we went, so there is room for improvement. There was nothing wrong with the food when it did arrive. Still, we didn't order anything out of the ordinary and having been to a few Italian restaurants recently, Bella Cosa, unfortunately, didn't figure high up on the places visited, which is a shame. Maybe it was an off day but overall as I say, although not a bad experience I couldn't say it was a great one."

"We’ve been coming to Lewennick for many years. It’s a special place for us somewhere we stayed after our wedding. We’ve waited 3 years to visit again after covid and were really looking forward to it, it just didn’t feel as welcoming as it used to. We booked well in advance and requested a window table, this hadn’t been arranged. The person serving us (potentially the manger) seemed quite off, not very warm and chatty left us feeling a little disappointed. After travelling all the way from London, we were sad that this was our first negative experience there in over 10 years. The food was lovely and you’ll never be able to fault those stunning views. Hoping for a warmer welcome next visit!"

"I ordered delivery from this restaurant at midday today. The food did not arrive until 2.40pm. The chicken in the chicken burgers was not sufficient to fill the buns. They made a mistake with the toastie filling, so I called them and they said they would send a replacement. At 3.20pm, the manager called my house and initially said the replacement was on its way. However, he then became aggressive towards my partner, raising his voice and interrupting him. He blamed everything but his own business for the delay and errors, even blaming us despite living within the delivery area and paying £3 for delivery. It is now 4.55pm and the replacement toastie still has not arrived. I paid for something I never received and received abusive behavior from the owner. I will not be returning to this place as the customer service is terrible. I am now uncomfortable knowing that this angry man has my phone number and address."

"We had made a reservation at The Wilderness a while back, but unfortunately our plans were disrupted by COVID. Finally, we were able to visit for lunch on Saturday, and it was definitely worth the wait. We chose the ten-course tasting menu along with a couple of glasses of their 'hacked' wines. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco and water, and our meal began. The variety of dishes was outstanding; from crispy pig cheek with apricot gel, to steak tartare, turbot, and mackerel. Standout dishes included a delicious beetroot ice-cream with a rich ajoblanco, and a fantastic mushroom and 'bread pudding' that was like a gourmet version of mushrooms on toast. The service was excellent, each course was tasty, and the wines, especially the Chardonnay 2.0 and the Vermouth, were top-notch. While the meal was on the pricier side, the quality of the food, service, ambiance, and music made it all worthwhile."
