"Visited on New Year’s Eve as a last minute change of plan, although it was a little busy we did wait a long time for them to take our order. Waited over half an hour to even be acknowledged and had to ask for them to take a drinks order and get a menu. Not the best service! No ice in the drinks, my beer seemed a little flat. As I said they were a little busy so just left it at that, starters arrived which were to their usual decent standard. When the mains came 1 of the party ordered a sizzler which I’m afraid to say was not sizzling, all the rest was ok. This is not my first visit to this restaurant and it’s just little things that keep just letting it down from being a good place in my opinion. The service and issues will not stop me from going again I will give them another go as the owners are really pleasant."

"The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. There were many new items on the menu that we hadn't tried before. We enjoyed a selection of dishes from every starter. "The ambiance at this restaurant is pleasing. However, we noticed that our orders were taken after another couple that arrived after us, so the service could be more attentive. The breakfast we had was delicious. While the menu didn't mention an option for turkey speck, they were willing to add it to our order or replace it with something else when we asked. They also offer soy milk as an alternative option. One negative aspect to note is the restroom, which definitely needs improvement. There was black mold on the walls, the room was very cold, and we even saw a cockroach scurrying across the floor, with the kitchen located right next to it."

"The food at this restaurant is incredibly delicious! I only tried it because someone insisted that their biryani was the best they had ever had, and they were right. The exterior may be unassuming and the decor questionable, but the service and food more than make up for it. I tried the mixed grill and the lamb biryani, both of which were amazing. If you enjoy this type of cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try!"

"We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem among the limited dining options in Chelsea Harbour. The maitre'd was a bit gruff upon our arrival, and there was a typically loud musical performer in the beautifully decorated Lebanese restaurant. We chose to sit in the Parisian-style outdoor seating area, which was heated and also offered Shisha. Our waiter was patient and helpful as we navigated the extensive menu, even recommending alternative wines when we expressed concern about the Lebanese selection. The food was very good, reasonably priced, and we will definitely return in the future."

"Very disappointed. The manager had his mouth open of food whilst welcoming us. The server spilled sauce on my trousers then bought over KETTLE boiling Water for me to clean it. Then plain rice came 10 mins after the meat. The cashier came with the card machine mid eating and just stood there waiting for us to pay. No shisha available due to server saying it’ll be extra effort for him. Who does that? Not to mention it was my birthday! To top it all off! Highly not recommend to anybody, embarrassed I even spent my birthday here."

"Visited Selale on a busy Saturday night, even then, the service was absolutely superb. The attention by staff, the speed of service, and quality of food was great. We had a hot mezze for starters, and a house special for main side of fries and sausages can't knock the taste at all, really good stuff. 4 of us couldn't finish what we were served, so very generous portions. "The ‘big bagel’ was nice enough as were the chips. Sweet friendly waitress. Please do not order the nachos-they are flavourless and in my opinion the tortilla chips a little stale. Was a little hard work trying to get someone’s attention for the bill. I think they could do with one more member of staff to keep things running more smoothly eg clearing tables, wiping down seats and supplying the bill more promptly. I voiced my opinion at the time re the nachos but was met with a vacant stare and a ‘no ones ever complained about them before ‘. They bizarrely offered to take 10% off the cost of the nachos. A more commercially savvy response would have been ‘so sorry you didn’t like the nachos Ill take them off the bill as you’ve barely touched them. Hope to see you again next time’ There’s lots of competition in the area who in my opinion offer waaay better service. I believe the owner was behind the counter at the time who took no ownership of the situation-that was a shame but hey ho that’s why some businesses succeed and others don’t stand the test of time."

"Allowed me to book a table hours beforehand and then upon arrival was greeted by the silence of an empty restaurant. After about mins of waiting and chatting , the manager enters through the front door and tells us to take our seat and then goes into the kitchen. After another mins of chatting the manager comes out and tells us the head chef is not in and so we will have to leave. To the manager’s credit he did seem apologetic and cordial but things like this should not happen in the first place."
