"We made a reservation in advance, which is recommended on busy nights. (There was one instance where we tried to wait for a table without a reservation, but ended up leaving since we were ignored.)"

"We are frequently disappointed by promises of authentic New York deli in London, but after trying this place, I have to say these guys really deliver. The food was great!"
"We have been duped by claims of authentic New York deli in London before, but after trying one meal at this restaurant, we think they do a fantastic job."

"I always enjoy going to this restaurant. The service is good and the atmosphere is lovely. However, I have noticed that the portion sizes are a bit smaller than they used to be. Despite this, everything is still..."

"The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. There were many new items on the menu that we hadn't tried before. We enjoyed a selection of dishes from every starter. Additionally, we had rice or naan and poppadoms, all for about £10 each—a great deal! The quality of the food was fantastic. We will definitely be going back!"

"The ambiance at this restaurant is pleasing. However, we noticed that our orders were taken after another couple that arrived after us, so the service could be more attentive. The breakfast we had was delicious. While the menu didn't mention an option for turkey speck, they were willing to add it to our order or replace it with something else when we asked. They also offer soy milk as an alternative option. One negative aspect to note is the restroom, which definitely needs improvement. There was black mold on the walls, the room was very cold, and we even saw a cockroach scurrying across the floor, with the kitchen located right next to it."

"The food at this restaurant is incredibly delicious! I only tried it because someone insisted that their biryani was the best they had ever had, and they were right. The exterior may be unassuming and the decor questionable, but the service and food more than make up for it. I tried the mixed grill and the lamb biryani, both of which were amazing. If you enjoy this type of cuisine, I highly recommend giving this place a try!"

"imaginative, fun night!. we were recently invited to the birthday of a friend to yamal alsham. first I was not sure to go, but glad that I did, as I was really happy all night surprised. it is easy to get from the subway station and there are free parking if you need it. the personal is really charming and welcoming. I love absolutely all foods, really well to eat, a whole variety of delicious, more-ish mezze. the beginning of the evening was perfect, so relaxed and pleasant and then it just got better! the bauchtänzer came and entertained the whole restaurant, only brilliant! such a great night, I will definitely be back at the earliest opportunity and can not recommend it very much! you have to try!"

"Our experience at this restaurant was not great. We received the wrong food order, which was bland and we didn't finish it. Despite our request for an apology gesture, we received none. The lack of a notepad for taking orders accurately likely led to the mistake. Additionally, there is a sit-down fee of £5 per person on top of the shisha price, and customers are required to share tables with others, which we found to be absurd. As a result, we decided to leave the shisha place and go to another lounge after dinner. Overall, our experience was disappointing and we have no plans to return. We do not recommend going out of your way to dine at this restaurant."

"Visited Selale on a busy Saturday night, even then, the service was absolutely superb. The attention by staff, the speed of service, and quality of food was great. We had a hot mezze for starters, and a house special for main side of fries and sausages can't knock the taste at all, really good stuff. 4 of us couldn't finish what we were served, so very generous portions. Why not 5.0 for my rating????? Too much of a canteen feel, I prefer a better ambience."

"If you are a fan of Lebanese food then this is the place to go. The Maroush umbrella consists of several restaurants under the name of Maroush, Maroush gardens, Beirut express etc etc. They have several branches all across London including 2 on Edgware road. My favourite order (what i order each time) is their chicken shorma with extra garlic mayo and fresh mango juice. The chicken showrmas have just the right amount of chicken and salad. Every bite has that crunch as well as the freshness from the lettuce and tomato salad. I agree it's a bit messy to eat it often but hey as long as you can lick of the dripping mayonnaise off your fingers, it's all good. I really love their mango juice. Its fresh and sweet and perfect drink with the wrap. The menu also has the normal items like falafels, hot and cold mezze platters along with curries and the Lebanese bread. For 10 pounds your stomach will be stuffed but you'll still want more thanks to the sheer taste of the food. I highly suggest this place!"

"The ‘big bagel’ was nice enough as were the chips. Sweet friendly waitress. Please do not order the nachos-they are flavourless and in my opinion the tortilla chips a little stale. Was a little hard work trying to get someone’s attention for the bill. I think they could do with one more member of staff to keep things running more smoothly eg clearing tables, wiping down seats and supplying the bill more promptly. I voiced my opinion at the time re the nachos but was met with a vacant stare and a ‘no ones ever complained about them before ‘. They bizarrely offered to take 10% off the cost of the nachos. A more commercially savvy response would have been ‘so sorry you didn’t like the nachos Ill take them off the bill as you’ve barely touched them. Hope to see you again next time’ There’s lots of competition in the area who in my opinion offer waaay better service. I believe the owner was behind the counter at the time who took no ownership of the situation-that was a shame but hey ho that’s why some businesses succeed and others don’t stand the test of time."

"Great food. We went there as we bought a OPEN TABLE £50 gift voucher but they didn't know about this scheme. However manager agreed to accept kindly although it didnt work at the end. We ended up there as we finished a walk nearby and wanted to try something diffrent. If you can over look the ambiance it is a nice restaurent for food and if you want to try something difftent. Lentil and vada starters were yummm although a bit hot so ask for less spicy if you are not used to it V Resonable prices and resonable portion sizes....great Masala tea and fish dishes. Service can be improved although 2 young boys who were serving us were very polite. Will go again if around ever again in that area."

"We were here to celebrate a birthday with 12 people. We pre ordered all dishes, hoping for a slick service. The food and the service were perfect; a very dedicated waiter literally did not loose sight of us for a second until we were all served and happily eating amazing! The size fo dishes differs, but that is not a problem as sharing only adds to the pleasure. I think I have tasted 10 different dishes and don't know which one to highlight. A marvelous gastronomic memory! Wines are on the more expensicve side, but really excellent too!"

"This is The Restaurant To Go For at Edgware Road where it will find more takers than leavers for Lebanese cuisine. The restaurant has been there for a few decades and it will be interesting to find what came first the settlement surrounding it or the restaurant itself. Did it behave like a protagonist to the Lebanese loving foodies? or was it rightly located and grew out if them to begin with? Whatever the reason the result is A+. So finally when you're in you would be treated like an absolute guest from the word go and that's what makes it special. The food has to be undoubtedly the best or else this Lebanese place would have fallen apart years ago. When you're eating don't order too...read more"
