"They offer some tempting lunch specials, which give you even more reason to stop by. During our visit, we indulged in the Bklyn Boy ($7.99), a combo dish that has become our favorite because there’s so much good food out there to try. This meal features a delicious mix of beef and chicken, complete with a sweet chili Chipotle mayo that provides that delightful spicy kick you crave. The chicken patty was cooked perfectly, making it a meal you definitely want to pursue. Then there was the Badman Burger ($8.49), which was drool-worthy, featuring double buttermilk chicken fillets topped with Sriracha sauce. Why settle for one when you can have two? The gherkins added a nice tang, making this dish even more enjoyable. We also tried the Kickin’ Wingers x5 ($2.99), which were fried (without any batter) and tossed in a delicious sauce that was both tender and sweet. This was definitely not your average wing flavor, and we were happy we gave it a shot. All burgers can be turned into meals for an additional $1.99, which includes a side and a drink. We chose New York Fries and Creamy Mash as our sides. The fries were excellent, but the mash seemed like standard boxed mash, so I’d recommend going for the fries if you have to choose. "I really enjoy coming here. Every dish I have ever had has always tasted great and fresh. The decor and vibe is lovely, the food feels like it is quality and the staff are generally friendly (although on one occasion, a friend and I felt like we were being hinted to either order more or leave. We had ordered full dishes and drinks and I get it can get busy but it is very annoying to feel like we need to leave when we are enjoying ourselves). Customer service has also let me down on my last visit whereby I was told that I cannot remove an item from a dish on my order (despite previously requesting an item to not be included and it being honoured). Bizarre!! I tried the chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream and it was delicious. Coffees are good although small. The beetroot latte literally tasted like milk have had much better (and cheaper) elsewhere. I'd highly recommend the chicken and waffles but have genuinely enjoyed all dishes so far! The soul plate and fritters are also delicious. Portion sizes are not huge but the quality makes up for that."

"Food was good but experience ruined by the customer service. I had to really argue my case to be allowed to sit at a small table, order coffee and cake while I waited 30mins for my friend to join me for lunch. I did assure the member of staff that my friend and I would order plenty food and drink (and we did) but she was still very rude and dismissive. During our lunch a couple came in with a baby, they were told to wait outside in the pouring rain while a table was prepared even though there was plenty space for them to stand inside. I don’t know what sort of management is making the staff too stressed to address customers’ needs but it wasn’t a nice atmosphere to be in."

"It's a breath of fresh air to discover such a fantastic restaurant! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is perfect. I have specific dietary needs, and I'm pleased to say that this restaurant accommodates those requirements very well. I've experienced a lot of noise and bad music in restaurants lately, so I truly appreciate the calm environment here. The drink selection is also excellent. I don't consume sweeteners, and many places only offer diet drinks, but I enjoyed a delightful rhubarb rose drink that was simply divine—without any sweeteners! This place is a hidden gem in beautiful NQ. Thank you!"

"This review is regarding the St Bart’s branch of Half cup near Barbican. I see from your website that you 're a family business who love brunch which is great. It 's a shame that my friend and I weren 't able to enjoy brunch at your venue today we too, love brunch! Food and drinks were tasty and good portions. However….. I prebooked a table for 2 Got a message one hour before asking me to confirm automated I think which I confirmed After eating our food the waitress came and told me and my friend that they needed the table back she was apologetic and friendly as it had been an hour and made it sound as though this was usual practice. It wasn’t quite an hour- probably 50 minutes at this point! We were confused as other patrons were there before us and still at their tables so not clear why we were singled out. Also there were many vacant tables. Spoke to another member of staff upon leaving obviously asked to have the bill minus the service charge! and let them know my views. He was apologetic and suggested that member of staff was quite new. One of his other suggestions was that the other table had more patrons and as such would have longer to sit there. Anyhow of course we left and despite one staff member offering to get us some free takeaway hot drinks as a way to apologise we politely declined and went to the Happenstance in St Paul’s and had some cocktails and was there for 2+ hours to continue to enjoy our catch up. It’s the half cups misfortune to miss out on the cocktails and the service charge we happily provided to the other restaurant/bar. The half cup missed out on £40+ extra revenue. I’m a Londoner who eats out in London regularly and this was probably the worst experience I’ve had. Thank you for making us feel so unwelcome. Avoid avoid avoid if you would like a catch up with your mate and don’t wish to be rushed. A one hour window for a booking if in fact true should be stipulated in the booking reservation it wasn’t as London isn’t short of good places to eat and we would have chosen somewhere else to start off with!"
