"We had made a reservation at The Wilderness a while back, but unfortunately our plans were disrupted by COVID. Finally, we were able to visit for lunch on Saturday, and it was definitely worth the wait. We chose the ten-course tasting menu along with a couple of glasses of their 'hacked' wines. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted with a complimentary glass of Prosecco and water, and our meal began. The variety of dishes was outstanding; from crispy pig cheek with apricot gel, to steak tartare, turbot, and mackerel. Standout dishes included a delicious beetroot ice-cream with a rich ajoblanco, and a fantastic mushroom and 'bread pudding' that was like a gourmet version of mushrooms on toast. The service was excellent, each course was tasty, and the wines, especially the Chardonnay 2.0 and the Vermouth, were top-notch. While the meal was on the pricier side, the quality of the food, service, ambiance, and music made it all worthwhile."

"I think I've been spoiled by some of the piri piri places I've visited, so Sabeez seemed average by comparison. Not to say it was bad. You get a decent enough takeaway here; and back in my nearby hotel room I ate most of it....My order was for a double decker combo burger, cheesy chips, and salad. Of those, the Greek salad was the best part, featuring cherry tomatoes and little bits of feta cheese. The combo burger contains a beef patty and a chicken patty made of reconstituted chicken rather than the chicken breast they serve in the best places. I enjoyed the beef part more. By the time I got back to my room, the cheesy chips had formed a solid slab, glued together by a flavourless cheese. But I'm an old hand at greasy Saturday-night takeaway fare, so I hacked away at them philosophically. The premises once had some imagination put into them, with bright sixties colouring and a mural of Plymouth life and history. But it all needed renovating long ago, and now everything looked worn or damaged, giving a grubby impression. The COVID precautions were a bit half hearted. Two guys wore no mask; one had a mask round his neck; and a female chef wore one just covering her mouth not nose. A screen to separate walk-up trade from the delivery collectors was standing on top of a distancing marker. Unlike other piri piri places, there was no sauce-bottle counter out front. That might've been for COVID-hygiene reasons. But it meant sauce was added by the server, and he splattered too much on for my liking. Overall, I found this place a bit disappointing but not terrible."

"I have to admit. One of the best, if not the best Asian noodles and fried rice restaurant in Bristol! Excellent customer service, fresh food and a lot of wok skills. It's not easy to cook around 600+ noodles and fried rice a day but the chefs cooking on the wok manage to do it with efficiency. With 4 types of noodles ,2 types of rice and a Vegetable mix as a base you can't go wrong. there are more than 15+ ingredients to choose from to put into your noodles, even vegan friendly options are available. Moreover, there are 8 different sauces to choose from which makes it all the more interesting. If you would like any drink, don't hesitate to ask at the till, also you can find the best fresh orange juice here . I often go for the thai noodles which is a wok to walk original recipe which consists of Egg noodles, chicken, mushrooms, coriander and Bangkok sauce. One can never go wrong with such a combination.
