"I was mid juni for my birthday and was disappointed. eating was badly executed and there was lack of ripe, flair and spice(crisis ox zunge must be refined and not only a large lump on the plate. sticky squash was nicely cooked, but smoked kartoffel puree was blanching and there was much too many pumpkin seeds on the plate must have been about 50 seeds on the teller. pan fried sea bass filet was bland and red pfeffer puree was much too sweet, exaggerated everything else on the plate. a long way to go for this place as one of the best restaurants in liverpool, not even near the top 10."

"Fabulous Sunday lunch. We've been talking about visiting Hispi for ages, and now I'm gutted we haven't been before now. Wonderful food and a great value Sunday menu. We had the pig's head croquette, and pate to start. Both were excellent. The roast dinners (beef pork belly) were perfect. The gravy, on its own, is worth a visit! Quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. Plus very friendly and professional staff. Highly recommended."
