"We had booked a table at Brewdog Lothian Rd after the Scotland v Italy rugby yesterday. We had had a fantastic time but were quite shocked at the attitude of the bar manager both when we arrived and after we paid the bill. This person was also rude to one of our party when we first arrived, until she was informed he was with us. One of the guys in our party had a few drinks too many celebrating Scotlands win and whilst we were more than aware of this and had ordered him a pint of water, she felt the need to announce to the entire table that he would not be served any alcohol. We actually felt uncomfortable much of the time we were in the pub. After we paid our bill, we were then followed by this member of staff, who realised the staff had made a mistake adding up the bill. She appeared on our bus outside and then proceeded to ridicule us and made us feel like we were trying to cheat the restaurant. This is ridiculous when all we wished to do was pay our bill. My other daughter had gone to pay the bill and didn’t notice that it was cheaper than it should have been, and she was using her dads bank card! We may not be back. What an unwelcome experience, especially on my daughters birthday. We are regulars at the rugby, and in Brewdog but this has certainly left a bad taste in our mouth. I’m surprised this manager gets away with behaving like this in a public facing role. Shout out to the young man who served us our wine. He was the type of guy I would expect to be working in your establishment."
