"I would like to say that this was a review of a visit to the restaurant but after booking it as a treat for my wife on New Year's Eve we arrived in London after travelling for 1.5 hours to find it shut. I made a complaint to Open Table as they had confirmed the booking, twice, but they wanted to leave the blame with El Gaucho for not telling them. I wrote directly to the Director of the company that runs both restaurants but he could not be bothered to reply. Open Table's apology amounted to making my points up to enough for £20 off my next booking. Very disappointing all round."
