"We were given a gift voucher for afternoon tea at The Hythe Imperial. The room is a bit soulless and the waitress put music on which was a bit intrusive. Service at first was good but then our waitress just disappeared. Our finger sandwiches were already a little dry on serving, the scones were o.k. but the miniature cakes were not nice at all. Strange taste and texture. Nice to have bottomless coffee/tea if there was a waitress. I ordered a glass of wine which was lovely but at over £11 a glass it should have been. So all in all disappointing."
