"Rooms: Lovely room. Very comfortable bed. Generous tea and coffee. Everything you could need for an overnight stay. Food drinks: The meal was very good and the sticky toffee pudding was the best I’ve ever had even beats Cartmel sticky toffee pudding and it is made in house! Breakfast was very good too. Noteworthy details: Such a friendly place. We were made to feel very welcome. Will definitely return if we visit Cragside again (which we must because there’s far more than can be seen in a single day). "We were very disappointed with our meal here. It took almost an hour to place our order despite the fact we were one of two occupied tables there (we were a party of When the mains eventually came, one of the orders was wrong. Someone had ordered a burger without cheese. The waiter took the order back and we watched as the chef then scraped the cheese from the burger and sent it back. As the person who ordered it had a cheese allergy she had to send it back and wait for another to be cooked. By the time the burger arrived, the rest of us had long finished the meal. We weren't offered any discount or compensation for this. Food was average and over priced. Approx for burgers and a drink each. Would not recommend or return here."
