"Even though they called me just a couple of hours prior to confirm our reservation, we were left standing around for about 15 minutes while they waited for other guests to leave so they could combine tables. Instead of simply asking a smaller group to move to a nearby table, they chose the more complicated route, which made no sense. It begs the question: what's the point of making a reservation if walk-in customers seem to be prioritized and given better tables?
When it came to the food, it was not impressive at all. As a form of ‘compensation,’ they offered to waive the service charge, which felt trivial considering we spent over £100. They made no effort to acknowledge my mother's birthday, not even a balloon or a small dessert as an apology for the service we experienced. Overall, they completely fell short in both food quality and customer service, and the ambiance left much to be desired. I left feeling annoyed and quite upset."
