"The sandwiches were particularly good, and the scones and cakes very nice. Might have expected slightly more exciting cakes for the money and level of hotel, but as a standard afternoon tea I couldn't complain. The service was excellent and the staff lovely. I couldn't really judge the ambience to be honest, as it was a Monday in February, so we were the only ones in there! It's a very grand room though, so I'm sure when it's full it has a good atmoshphere."
