"Service was extremely slow on a Saturday afternoon, not even on normal lunch hour. Waited at least 30 mins to order food, another 30 mins for food to be served. We noticed there’s only 1 person covering the whole floor. Noise level was high with baby constantly crying. The food, all you can taste is salt and smoke. Chicken breast is too dry. Overall very disappointing experience. Nothing worth for a second visit."

"I took my mother to the Two Sisters restaurant for her birthday last Sunday. We were immediately greeted and informed about the brunch options (i.e. buffet versus brunch specials and other adjustments, such as turkey bacon instead of pork). I think this is a great place for a relaxed brunch and definitely for a mother-daughter date. We loved the food and the service. We drove to a Groupon and will definitely drive again without the Groupon. Worth it."

"I had been meaning to try Soderberg since it opened earlier this year. Soderberg creates its own sourdough and uses it to make some delicious food. Their speciality for the evening service is pizza (which can be bought by the slice at lunch). Upon arrival I was greeted by a friendly waiter. "The food was great (had a very lovely afternoon tea) but unfortunately the service was poor; although polite when speaking to us the service staff pretty much ignored us once we had ordered our food. My friend and I wanted to order another hot drink but had to wait 45 minutes for someone to take our order (despite attempting to get someone’s attention several times) and then again when wanting to get the bill it took standing up and putting our coats on after another long time waiting (and asking several people) to actually get the bill. "I’m based in Torbay, and rarely visit Plymouth because of work commitments etc. However, I had a week to myself, which is why I decided to return to Plymouth and was the first time since the weekend before Christmas and glad I did. I wanted somewhere to stop for a late-ish lunch and knew I wanted to go to Costa, but could not decide which one due to there being many in this city. I chose this one as the atmosphere seemed nice. The staff, including the young lady who served me were the nicest I’ve met and were very full of life and cheerfulness. They had EXACTLY what I wanted in stock and had it ready for me within a couple of minutes of me paying!! Seating was very well spaced, so I felt really safe being able to sit down, relax and enjoy my lunch. Will most certainly be returning to this particular Costa when I am next in the Plymouth area and definitely recommend this to everybody I know. Thanks so much!!"

"I noticed the vegan options on the website, but when we arrived, we were only given the regular menu and were even asked if we were in the right place! Thankfully, I had checked the website beforehand and saw that there was an additional plant-based menu, so we inquired about it, and to our delight, they provided it. There were many enticing options available. I ordered a superfood dish with crispy tofu on the side, while my companion had a vegan burger and fries. I really can’t understand why they don’t offer both menus upon arrival! Nevertheless, I asked for the vegan menu and my superfood salad was delicious—and massive!"

"This is an excellent spot for desserts! We visited Edinburgh for a holiday and ended up going there several times. They strictly adhere to COVID-19 guidelines, thoroughly cleaning tables and seats and requiring masks. The staff is fantastic—very friendly and welcoming. And the food! Food quality great, service ok is really depends who serves you, my feeling is not every staff has the same professionalism to provide the same standard of service to customers in this Michelin restaurant. We had a set lunch menu, 2 cocktails lovely, a side dish broccolis yummy, cake and cheese for dessert. Quite full after eating all of them. Ahh the last thing i want to share is the bread basket is NOT free lol which is unexpected. It cost £9 when i check the bill. To be honest, we don’t care about £9, we order a cocktail there already £16. We are all accustomed to receiving a free bread basket before you order food at fine dining place, right? I didn’t see any Michelin restaurants in hong kong, who doesn’t give a free breadbasket to customers. I only hoped the waiter would tell me that breadbasket cost £9 before they putting it on the table, at least I have a choice, I probably say ‘yes i want it please’. Is it the attitude problem, I don’t like any hidden cost, not honest to customers!"

"I had booked a table at this restaurant with the intention of having a meal. However, when my client arrived, he had to leave quickly for another meeting so we ended up just ordering coffees. We had to signal to someone to take our order, who turned out to be either the concierge or the floor manager at the time. When we placed our order, he awkwardly noted that we had only booked a table for coffees. At the end of our visit, we had to ask two separate people for the bill. Since we didn't order any food, I am unable to comment on the quality of the dishes. The floor manager in a suit on that day was quite rude."

"Hands down the worst food I’ve had in years. The chicken tenders were inedible and the dirty fries were disgusting. I have been to meat and barrel several times over the years and never had an experience like this. Have the management changed? Who’s in the kitchen? Are we cutting so many corners we’ve lost sight of why we are here? I sent my food back and got a refund it was so so bad. The staff were all rude and couldn’t be bothered to serve us. It’s such a shame for a local place to go so downhill. No atmosphere, terrible food, awful staff. I will not be returning anytime soon. If you want a nice evening with good food do yourself a favour and go to Croxton’s a few doors down."
