"We eat out probably 150 nights per year due to business travel. Blake’s was one of the worst dining experiences in 5 years puts it in the bottom .1% for us. We were told after we sat down that they needed the table in 1:45 minutes. Actually not a problem. We ordered and the food came so fast we felt out of breath. The food was fine, not overly imaginative, but since the starters blended into the mains, who could tell the difference or judge the quality. We ordered a bottle of wine half way through the starters, the mains came out before the wine which we had to cancel. We we had our mains served to us less than 30 minutes after we initially sat down and that included 10 minutes of cocktails and starters, and waiting to order. We haven’t felt less welcomed in 5 years anywhere. If you want a take out window dining experience at a supposedly fine food restaurant this is the place. Otherwise there are too many great restaurants in London to visit who will give you a great night out, so we don’t recommend wasting your short time at Blake’s."
