"Food was good as always though I couldn't detect any hint of the lemongrass supposed to feature in the (otherwise very tasty) hake dish. Service was a bit slow, but waiters were friendly and apologetic, and explained that they were more than usually over stretched. We did feel more could have been done re Covid proofing though (especially as we were there with my 80 year old mother). Our table location near the front door meant that one member of our party was less than a metre away from every customer entering the pub. Plus there appeared no attempt by the waiter to bring drinks and plates on a tray and we then help ourselves. We have seen these measures in use in other restaurants and they don't take much but they do increase confidence in the seriousness with which Covid prevention is taken.
