"The cooking at this restaurant is excellent. We started with a trio of oysters - raw with lemon and olive oil, warm with a ponzu dressing, and tempura. One of the best dishes I've had recently, the oysters' flavor was enhanced by the dressings. The chicken dish was also delicious, with a perfectly cooked breast and a flavorful celeriac puree. However, the highlight was the chargrilled hispi cabbage. The staff were all delightful. The atmosphere in the dining room may not be the best in London, but that is a minor issue. Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening. A nice touch was that we visited on Valentine's Day and had daffodils on the table instead of the usual red rose. This restaurant captures the classic Welsh heritage of Tom Simmons with some lovely additions."
