"Really great menu with imagination but not dishes that needed an acquired taste....so full marks there. Wine recommendations were also good, but value for money was poor. For the wines I knew it appeared to me the mark up was excessive, and their was no real choice of decent wine south of £100. We had a bottle of champagne and two bottles of red which at least doubled the cost of everything else....it would have been nice to have been able to moderate total cost by having a selection of good but moderately priced wines in the £50 £100 range. That said my overall experience was very good"

"Lovely looking restaurant. Wasn't very busy when we ate. My steak was warm my partners was very nice. One of my side didn't even arrive until until I had finished my steak even though I was told it was coming when food was delivered and then had to ask again and still waited 15 minutes. Partner also rang 4 days before as it was my birthday and in the day to remind asking if they could do a surprise for me (I didn't know until we had left) and nothing even though they had told her they would. We had paid 165 quid which is a lot of money for us. But service was awful and didn't have prawns in stock either. Will defo not be returning. Much better places t9 visit in the area.."

"Good selection of drinks and good varied menu with a set menu available. A bit expensive but very good food extremely well presented and a bit special. Staff very attentive but not intrusive. The only criticism I could make would be that there is not much atmosphere but we did dine early and people were just coming in as we were leaving. Would definitely recommend this place and will definitely be returning. A little gem."
