"Went to this place about a year ago ordered grilled chicken burger. It came stone hard dry. Came back today to give them another chance waited for 45minutes and even the starters didn't come. It was only 5 6 tables taken and about 6 members of staff serving They were more concerned about takeaway orders...Glasses and water bottle were full of limescale, when mentioned they said it was from salt of dishwasher. Had to get attention of waiters, no one was paying attention. We were so hungry so went to complain and it was not even in process of being ready so we walked away. Some other customers complained that their burgers were burnt too... all in all Avoid at All Cost and went to 5 Guys and got served in 7minutes with delicious burgers. Never again!"

"Never had a chance to eat there a good fries. One time we got that much salt we couldn’t eat them. Today no salt, not very fresh fries… why you can’t make a proper fries? Why they are always raw. Cook them for a bit longer to make them crunchy and tasty, and use enough salt but not too much… is it that hard? Birmingham GBK can do it so you can do it as well. If not, maybe you should go and ask Nandos how to make a fries? It’s just opposite your restaurant. I am tired of giving you a chance. I can make better fries at home. I like vegan burger with handmade patty. It’s usually really good. Birmingham still makes it better but yeah. Thanks. Edit. Another wasted money. Gave them a chance and fries salty as hell, not fresh at all and always forgetting to out half of ingredients to the burger"

"Visited My Old Dutch in Holborn with a few friends last week, it was my first ever time eating there, the food was divine, not a foot wrong, taste was beyond expectation, the price as well was not too bad for a London restaurant.However my only negative to take from my visit was the very poor service from the waiting staff, slow and uninterested is probably the best way to describe them, waited minutes are sitting down before having our orders taken, then after the meal waited minutes before getting the bill, and then after that we were waiting minutes before we could even pay (as well only to be told it was cash only which was not advertised anywhere).Food appearance and atmosphere"

"Wedding We had our wedding reception party upstairs in the button factory. Our original wedding was cancelled due to covid and was supposed to be a more traditional barn wedding so it was a complete change of direction for us choosing the button factory! I’m almost grateful that our original wedding was cancelled because this was the perfect setting for us! The food 10 10, the cocktails, the unique setting with the terrace, everything was perfect! The staff were super friendly and helpful when it came to questions running up to the event and planning, and also on the day they were all so nice and helpful. So many of our friends said it was the best wedding they’d been to! We had about 80 guests in total and we also had a band, and it was the perfect size for this. We could probably have had up to 100+ guests comfortably to be fair! But this way we could clear one area for the band and dance floor. Honestly 10 10 recommended for a relaxed laid back but super fun wedding reception!"

"I tasted GBK burgers for the first time and I must say their burgers are the nicest and tastiest burgers I have had in a very long time, I was asked how I wanted it which was cooked to perfection. It does cost a lot for a burger but it really was worth the money. The presentation of the food and packaging is the best I've ever seen, cardboard boxes instead of plastic (hate plastic packaging for food). Their customer service was ok I guess but i wasn't greeted with a smile, but I would go there again to eat in. LOVED IT"

"I attend this pub a minimum of once a month with my father to catch up and enjoy a few drinks and atmosphere. Been doing this since the place opened. Will not be going back after today due to the poor Qaulity door staff and policy 's being made up on the fly. I booked a table one week in advance as I usually do and when I arrived as I went to walk in a young man maybe 18 stood in front of me and told me to not dare walk past him he had in plain cloths and nothing identifying him as a doorman such as an sia badge(turned out had it on his waiste under his coat deliberately obscured) he efused me entry as I had on jogging bottoms. I was told by the doorman this is a breach of the dress code/uniform policy. When I queried this policy as I 've been coming to this pub regularly for 10 years his response was he was denying me entry as 99% of fights he breaks up where people with jogging bottoms on. . While I 'm standing there two customer came outside for a smoke one with joggers on and another with shorts he then refused the customer who was already in admittance back on to the premises but let the shorts back in. When that customer asked to go back in and get his jacket and a refund he was refused, it took his partner to come out to get his stuff. I asked to speak to the manager as I had booked a table and ordered drinks which where at the table as my father had arrived before me, he said I was not entitled to a refund on site and would need to contact them via email. I then asked to speak with the manager and he responded with no. I had.to phone my father who was already within the premises(with jogging bottoms I might add) and ask him to grab the manager who eventually came out, I asked where the dress code was stated and she could not direct me to anything but she had made the decision on the day and that 's it even though the majority of customers inside already where weathering joggers. I got so frustrated by this interaction I started recording for evidence and the door mane then told me that unless I stopped recording my father would not be getting a refund for the table/beer he had purchased for my arrival. While I complelty understand some premises have dress codes they should be clearly marked online and not be changing day to day let alone during a day after people are already in the pub. The manager refused to provide any kind of complaint details aswell. Cannot believe after so many years of attending this place to be met with this, the doorman was needlessly confrontational from the get go and just making stuff up on the spot."

"We were greeted by the owner Ken, he asked us if we were ok, we explained that we wanted to be seated for drinks. He sat us down, the waitress came we ordered and she said you must get something to eat, we just ate somewhere else and wanted to sit for drinks, so we ordered two starters with our drinks. To my surprise after we ordered Ken walked back and started to tell us that we shouldn’t have sat there if we’re just having drinks and to leave straight after the drinks. The whole vibe changed, I didn’t even want to have my drink. I paid £50 for two starters and two drinks and Ken’s horrible service. I’ve never been treated like that especially by an owner of a restaurant. Why wasn’t this mentioned before we ordered, why after? How can you tell someone have your drink and leave? When I said you are making me uncomfortable he replied, good leave. I just looked at my friend in disappointment as I recommended this restaurant to her. The reason your restaurant isn’t making enough is because of your service not customers coming for drinks. The embarrassment of him having a go in-front of the other customers wasn’t nice and the sad thing is he treats his waiters and waitresses with no respect as well as his customers."

"quite the outlier experience for bottomless brunch. we were told that we had to order a drink at a time and that the waiter would regularly come by to take over our order. this did not happen, however, the service was incredibly slow and we have. always asked if our order could be taken. at the end we only have 3 drinks in the 90mins of the underless, for which we have paid. eating was at the level of quality of a weatherspoons breakfast, nothing special. will not return."
