"The Game Bird is at the top of its form. Our party of five received attentive service. The Beetroot Salad, Lamb, Venison Wellington, Suet Pudding, and Baked Alaska were not only properly prepared, they were delicious and appealing. So often Venison Wellington, or any other cut of meat prepared in this manner, is a soggy unappetising mess. At The Game Bird this was not so. The crust was crisp, the foie gras rich, and the venison rare. The wine list is excellent and correctly priced. A good place for a delightful dinner."
