"Booked afternoon for 3, as it was a birthday treat. On arrival we were wondering around not sure where to go. The door to the library off of the lobby area was shut. I had to ask at reception as there was not any staff in the lobby. The staff that attended to us in the library were brilliant. Very polite and attentive. I’ve had afternoon tea quite a few times at the Four Seasons, and I have to say for the first time I walked away disappointed. The sandwiches were ok, but I feel the quality of the scones and cakes have slipped. The scones seemed dry, and the same for some of the cakes. It was such a same as it was for a friends birthday, and feel the quality doesn’t match the cost."
