"A special and interesting restaurant that really should not be missed if you are intent on exploring the food scene in York. Confident and ambitious, with the feel of having been conceived and put together by a close group of friends who shared a particular vision of food and wine. With an emphasis on spice (although not spicy hot in a boring way), the dishes seek to inspire the palate, as do the wine-pairing that focus on wines that are meant to be as aggressively part of the course as the food. The service is friendly and smart and keeps things moving along nicely. I am very happy to have not missed eating here on my visit to York."
