"Having not visited a Tampopo for at least five years (the last time being a quick mid-shopping bite to eat in the Trafford Centre), I of course agreed to visit their newly-refurbished Corn Exchange location in the centre of Manchester and check out their menu. Prepare yourself: there’s a LOT of food in this post. Don’t read it if you’re sat at work starving and it’s only 10.30am, is all I’m saying."

"Nice to be able to get quality fresh sushi out of London. The Tataki dishes were inventive and had great flavour. Presentation and service was excellent. However I was disappointed by the lack of flavour in the chicken wings and the salmon truffle yakatori. I also thought it was too pricey for a restaurant outside of London I would go back for the sushi, but not the hot food and only if I wanted something closer to home. Otherwise I don't think it's worth the £35+ per person bill when you can get far better quality food in London for a similar price."
