"Ordered chicken curry (hot and pilau rice to share with the mrs as we both like different curries and have never tried this dish, rice was lovely, colourful and very flavoursome, chicken curry was so nice, the sauce was spot on, plenty of spices and herbs. Free poppadom with mango and onions went down a treat, many thanks for a very nice curry, thoroughly enjoyed, will definitely order it again : enjoyed every mouthful, from both of us : !!!!"

"i would really advise strongly against using the services of this restaurant .ive used them three times and never again. im an experienced waiter of many years standing and have never and would never give such bad service to a customer or i wouldnt have a job.my first time ordering a received a call after some time asking to come down to a car to pick up my food.i informed the driver to ring my bell(i live in a house)and bring my food to me.he then buzzed my bell and came up the stairs huffing and puffing as if i was putting him out.he obviously doesn't understand what delivery means.he was so miserable i was really worried that my food could have been maliciously interfered with.i went through the same experience twice more although i always tipped him.i went to order again and was told we dont deliver to you anymore .use uber eats and the phone was dropped twice on me.this is so shocking im enraged and words fail me that this kind of attitude happens in the uk.if your driver doesent want to deliver get on that does want to.these points have already been covered in many other reviews,very negative experience and just generally very unpleasant.thank god there many other restaurants in the area ,so i dont have to give support to such unprofessional outfits"

"Carluccio's in Reading is relaxed with a very nice atmosphere. The restaurant/shop combo is a good idea. The food for reasonably priced, in fact not much more than Strada. Quality was not excellent my calamari starter was a little dry and the seafood risotto a tad watery. They were under staffed the evening we went. It took a couple of minutes standing like a lemon before the front of house lady had a chance to seat us, and the food took a long time to arrive. However staff were friendly."

"This is our old standby Northwest London Indian. We often try different places but in the end nothing beats Meghna. Service can be a bit slow but the food is very good and not expensive. The tandoori mixed grill is a good value, the kebabs are tasty, and we're fans of the garlic balti dishes. It can be spicy as you want it to be."

"We always get takeaway from here as it’s our fave Indian round here. We went to eat in and couldn’t believe the price difference, was so much more expensive to eat in. I understand you pay for service but it was about an extra tenner. We went on a Tuesday and was disappointed they aren’t doing the 50% scheme. "this is a new-ish curry house that was taken over by the mehak. it is worth visiting, as both eating and personal are hard to impress. more and more Indian restruanten go for the super-Blande and brown gravy angle than when they buy their food wholesale from 'iceland' this eat tastes authentic and in-house but on the 3 insass I was, they have managed to repeat the meal (I know boring! on the same standard over and over again. "We order a lot from Jool however it is normally done via Just Eat. The food has been always great and they are normally on time if not early with delivery. Today we ordered direct and our order is still not with us.. Phoned the restaurant twice and being told food is on the way…the guy is literally round the corner. With the restaurant literally 5 minutes up the road I don’t see why it is taking over 35 mins to get to us…! Would order through this place however not direct takes triple the time and now I am almost certain if I even get my food tonight it will be cold after being driven around for 35+ mins! Not happy and tummy rumbling!"

"My partner and I dined at this restaurant last night, and I personally believe it was the best Indian food I have had in years. We were warmly greeted and promptly seated at a table. We had purchased an Itison voucher (two courses for two people, with a choice of house red or white wine) which only cost us £17 total. The starters were beautifully presented and tasted delicious, setting us up nicely for our main courses. I chose the South Indian garlic chilli dish, while my husband opted for the Nepalese bhuna. Both dishes were flavorful and authentic. Since we had used an Itison voucher, we paid for the poppadoms and chutney before heading home to relax for the evening. Overall, I must say that for a restaurant that had just opened a few weeks ago, the service was friendly and the food was exceptional. Keep up the good work, Essence - we will definitely be back."
