"‘Italian tapas’ is a recent invention of London’s restaurants and a prerogative of Venice only in Italy. Here it is done with inventiveness and good ingredients. How can stuffed mushrooms be amazing? But they were and so was the duck spread and the tagliatelle spinach and almonds. One criticism to the menu was the lack of meat/fish dishes (only 2 amongst 20sh). Service was attentive. The place is cosy as all Brixton village restaurants are but the owner should sort out the extractor fan because by the end of the dinner our eyes were read from the fumes coming from the kitchen and the clothes totally smelly. Excellent value for money though."

"the hotel is located at st John’s square (where the bear pub was earlier) is clerkenwell social. I was really impressed by the inventive cocktails and found it a nice place to enjoy a pizza and bar snacks while getting friends. service at c s was fast, friendly and interested in what my party had to say about our lunch experience. it is worth noting that we are the place almost all for us during our late midday week visit. but I have the impression that this bar can fill in at night (and spun on the square)."
