"I visited this chip shop and waited 25 minutes for my order. The reason being they were cooking and wrapping food for delivery guys who were coming and going. When I went in they had everything available, so there was no reason for my long wait. What annoyed me more was they took my money straight away, and because I ordered 1 regular chips, 1 large chips and a piece of cod they charged me more money. Had I said cod and chips it would have been £7.50. Instead they charged me £6.20 for the fish and £2.50 for chips (plus £3.50 for the large chips). I queried the offer but the server said I couldn't have it as I'd ordered the items individually. I became flustered. I chose this chip shop to avoid queuing; unknowing that they prioritise online orders. I won't be back."

"Hands down the best burgers in Cheltenham. The people that build these burgers are artists. Always fresh ingredients. Cooked to perfection. Built with care and attention. Even if delivery is sometimes late. It’s worth the wait. Crispy fries (Piri Piri . Shake that’s still thick and cold like it’s just been freshly made minutes ago (Reece’s pieces shake is amazing btw . The most mouthwatering burger so full of flavour (Mexican is my choice, extra nachos! . Can’t give this place high enough praise. Excellent every time. Can’t recommend Smokin Burgers and Shakes enough. Keep up the good work!"

"I've eaten at Bakchich a few times now and popped in with my son for lunch whilst shopping a few days ago. . . It was around 2pm mid week and no problem being seated I'd say they have a pretty extensive menu great choice of dishes! I love the laid back vibe in here and the decor. Great place for lunch. The staff are really pleasant and there's no rush to order. There's so much to choose from it's tough! We both went for the mixed swarma (Lamb&Chicken) cooked in Lebanese spices which is served on a freshly made flatbread with a beautifully fresh salad, rice and fries. We also both got the fresh homemade lemonade. I got the Rosa and my son the Lemon&Lime The food (with condiments) and drinks were served before we knew it. I've got to say that there was enough for two . . . on each plate! Amazingly generous portion sizes. We're big eaters and couldn't finish them. Taste wise it was absolutely delicious! Every forkful was full of flavour and thoroughly enjoyed. I managed to wrap a ton of the swarma plus salad and a few Tzatziki fries in the bread wrap and finish the lot before my drink and there was still loads left on my plate! What I loved about this meal was it was not greasy at all. It was what I would call clean food extremely well seasoned and cooked and plenty of it! Washed down with the zingy fresh and tasty lemonades this was an incredible meal. I will definitely be back!"

"I remember twenty years ago living a couple of buildings up the street from Montpelier Uncle Sam's. My favourite burger was a blue cheese but the top combo was definitely the All Star Meal Deal. Just shut up and pay the extra for a shake instead. I remember walking to the end of the street to watch the West Pier burn for half an hour and then collecting a burger before eating it sitting on my doorstep. Uncle Sam's a true Brighton institution. "I walked in, there were 3 people getting orders ready for the delivery guy, not one person said hello (there were 6 in total in the shop) Eventually I got served, I arrived back at my house and ate the Sausage in batter and chips, the chips were greasy, the smaller chips were to hard to eat, the battered sausage was hard as if it had been there for some time and reheated....I normally use George's on the Glascote road, because of how good they are you have to wait in a queue which shows how good they are, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the Caledonian was empty other than the 6 staff and delivery driver, I can see why it was empty..."

"Terrible fish and chip shop. I understand the cost of living, but charging more money for less food is not acceptable. I ordered a large mixed meat and chips, but requested only donner meat and tikka, a sausage, and curry sauce. Unfortunately, the chips were extremely dry with no salt or vinegar. The donner meat was very thin, the tikka was bland, and the sausage was tasteless. The curry sauce, which cost £1.95, was disappointingly small. Despite spending £15 including delivery (so around £12 for the actual food), I could have gotten more value for my money at other fish and chip shops. After seeing another negative review from a month ago, I am dreading the effects of my meal tonight. This was my first and last time trying this place."

"The customer service at this restaurant was very poor - dismissive and unhelpful. They did not listen to my concerns when I called. The delivery driver was rude and lazy, not willing to search for the address or leave the car. The food arrived over an hour late from the expected delivery time, leading to a total wait of 2 hours with no apologies or concern shown. The quality of the food was terrible, with most of it being inedible. The chips were soggy and cold, the chicken was unseasoned and pale, and the donner meat was tough and chewy. Overall, it was a complete waste of money."

"Got a takeaway on Friday night ordered a 10 inch doner went to pick up and was met by the usual very friendly staff. Got pizza home and was not disappointed pipping hot, base and crust really tasty, absolutely loads of doner meat unlike some places. Also got a garlic and chilli dip must say chilli dip very tasty different than other places but in a good way if your visiting you must try. Will defo be back outstanding pizza and I'm very hard to please."

"After seeing advertised that they had won best fish and chip shop in Sussex we had to try. We've lived in Chichester for years but rarely eat fish and chips, but we decided to on this occasion. We can see why they have been voted the best! The fish was crispy and chips. The kids loved the nuggets! They took care when writing our order and swiftly called out our names after a few mins with it ready! It was really busy and to remember our names was a real treat!
