"On one of the hottest days the air conditioning was playing up but no attempt was made to bring in fans. The breakfast was lovely however it took almost an hour to come and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Not sure if the breakfast is cooked for the hotel attached and this is the problem. The service wasn’t very good. Staff were rude asking if everything was ok but walking away before we answered. Not bringing any butter for about 10 minutes after it was asked for or tap water given the sweltering temperatures. Definitely wouldn’t return. I had booked this restaurant months ago after reading good reviews but our experience wasn’t very good."

"Mezzorama offers a delightful dining experience. The restaurant was almost full when we visited, filled with couples and small families, without any rowdy groups. The food and wine were both excellent, and the service was top-notch. The only suggestion I have is for them to add more dessert options that are not ice cream-based. Although my partner's steak was cooked rare instead of medium as requested, I'm sure they would have gladly fixed it if we had asked. Overall, Mezzorama offers great value for the price."

"The ‘big bagel’ was nice enough as were the chips. Sweet friendly waitress. Please do not order the nachos-they are flavourless and in my opinion the tortilla chips a little stale. Was a little hard work trying to get someone’s attention for the bill. I think they could do with one more member of staff to keep things running more smoothly eg clearing tables, wiping down seats and supplying the bill more promptly. I voiced my opinion at the time re the nachos but was met with a vacant stare and a ‘no ones ever complained about them before ‘. They bizarrely offered to take 10% off the cost of the nachos. A more commercially savvy response would have been ‘so sorry you didn’t like the nachos Ill take them off the bill as you’ve barely touched them. Hope to see you again next time’ There’s lots of competition in the area who in my opinion offer waaay better service. I believe the owner was behind the counter at the time who took no ownership of the situation-that was a shame but hey ho that’s why some businesses succeed and others don’t stand the test of time."

"We had a fantastic dinner here on Saturday the prawn starter was incredible as was the carbonara. One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. The kind waiter was amazing giving us the choice of what kind of pasta we wanted. The chocolate cake was really good and everything was so well priced. I am planning on going back next week."

"Absolutely awful!. So my boss is going off on maternity leave and we decide to have lunch for 10 at Plateau on a £15 deal for 3 courses which sounded like good value. Our booking was at 1pm and we arrived to have a choice of 3 starters 2 of which were salad and 1 soup and 3 mains. We were told on arrival they had run out of steak despite our booking being at lunch time so I decided to have a salad as a main instead! the starter arrive and the salads were not looking fresh! Brown lettuce, over dressed euuggh, although I had the gazpaucho which was good, I decided to change my main to the fish! "The atmosphere is lovely and the view is beautiful, the staff is friendly. The cocktails are good and in a normal price The only thing we did not like is the food. Especially for a French restaurant which should have much better food than other restaurants. The food was tasteless and uncooked properly. The salmon was a bit raw. The risotto did not look fresh and it was uncooked. The asparagus was raw which doesn’t taste good at all. If we decide to go again, it will only be for drinks cocktails and enjoying the view. Not for dinner. Overall we paid for two people, two course menu with nibbles and a cocktail each. This is a reasonable price but it would have been better if the food was nice."

"We have now enjoyed a Sunday lunch, which was really good quality food, in a lively setting, we even had background music! Only slight criticism was the tables were a bit close to each other but we were a party of 10, the que for food was also a bit disconcerting as there was a constant flow of people brushing against our seats. The two occasions we have had afternoon tea we thoroughly enjoyed the food. The first time we were given a cup of coffee the second time we were given a pot and were told we could ask for a refill. We have also been to a themed night {Indian} the food was to the normal high standard but again we felt hemmed in and due to our table position were unable to see the dancers, who did not perform for very long. Overall really good food but a bit crowded for Sunday lunch and themed nights."

"Three and a half stars. Don't be intimidated by the groups of swarthy men inevitably hogging most of the tables out front while nursing empty coffee cups: if you're in the area Ciao Ciao's is worth a visit for a decent breakfast; they're all well priced, well cooked and ample. I've had lunch here once before, and this was also decent, nothing mindblowing but a nice average for a London cafe/restaurant. However, for lunch I tend to wander over the road to Small Beautiful, they do lunch deals and I prefer the atmosphere."

"I don't usually leave any reviews, but this place was so wonderful that I just had to. the service was absolutely phenomenal. the 2 ladies were so friendly, polite and helpful. the drinks were amazing and there was a lot of drink in the cocktails against other restaurants where they serve in tiny tassen. the food was so delicious (we had the mixed shaders) and the churros were the best we ever had. we couldn't believe how good the price level was. the atmosphere was amazing and we had such a relaxed, fantastic night. this is one of the best restaurants I have visited and we will definitely be back."

"Visiting a restaurant on a rainy Sunday night in January can be quite a serene experience, especially in a town center that's a bit off the beaten path. Despite having made a reservation, we were the only diners in the restaurant from 6:30 PM to 8:20 PM when we left. I haven't researched the restaurant beforehand, but it's fair to say that they seem to believe their all-day dining concept, which ranges from breakfast to dinner, is the right approach to navigate the current cost-of-living crisis. Overall, the food was good, and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely consider returning for another visit."
