"Went to Mestizo for a birthday party on the Saturday, returned on the Wednesday for more. Great to see a separate vegan menu and the staff were willing to remove cheese or other non-vegan ingredients from other dishes on the normal menu. Very helpful staff and very attentive. First time around I had the enchiladas de papa with rojas sauce. Delicious! A little spicy for me but the black beans and the rice really helped me with that! Second time around I had the guacamole then the vegetables slow cooked in a banana leaf. DELICIOUS. We also had a cactus ! salad on the side which they made vegan for me. Cactus is amazing tasting! Very happy to be able to get hibiscus tea in London as well. All round a great experience and delicious food."

"What a hidden gem! We found this restaurant on our last night! It was fabulous and I would have eaten here every night! We were welcomed by the staff as soon as we arrived. We ordered a mix of tapas, paella and then desert. We...were a mix of children and adults. There was no food left over it was delicious and we ate so much. From calamari, bruschetta, seafood paellas, lamb, olives the list can go on. It was delicious. The atmosphere was buzzing as it was after a Chelsea home game. Wine was paired and went really well. We finished with a Alcoholic coffee with deserts and let the server choose. The price was so reasonable for London it was incredible. Will definitely go back. This place reminded me of Barcelona and brought back such special memories."

"Found this little jewel of a tapas bar randomly on a fleeting visit to the capital. The hotel is located in the heart of Greenwich and just a few meters from the Cutty Sark and everything else the Royal Borough has to offer. Many efforts have been made to create a real Spanish feeling. You could be forgiven for not being London in Madrid! The menu is extensive and there are any conceivable tapas bowl here. We had a few dishes as an appetizer and shared a very authentic paella. The tapas dishes were generous portions, freshly prepared and hot pierced. The food we had couldn't owe. If you love all things Spanish and want big tapas, this is the place for you!"

"The best steaks we have had in any part of London for a long long time and really good value. Excellent starters all large portions. Really efficient and friendly service but perfectly paced and no pushing to get us off the table. We were early 1830, but already a few tables occupied. By 1930 it was pretty well full and great atmosphere. Live music. It was worth going just for that girl singer/guitarist and really good guy on guitar with her. Neat, clean and clear well looked after slick decor. Can't wait to go back!"

"Best place in Waterloo/Crosby for vegetarian dinner. Fritura Vegetal, rócoli con Almendras (GF) the vegetable paella and meat paella were very good too, but the vege fritters were excellent. The staff were brilliant, and very surprised to be offered a gratuity at the end of the meal. So good to eat where gratuity is not automatically added to the bill, and none suggested."

"In Camden and needed somewhere to eat so dropped in here. Service was attentive and friendly, really nice buzzy atmosphere and was food was pretty good. Should’ve had the tapas as it looked awesome coming out but we’d plumped for the sharing meat and cheese board then paella. There was way too much meat on the board and not enough cheese and olives (maybe some pickles would be good here). Paella was ok but nothing to write home about, glad I asked for chorizo (seafood and chicken option) as it helped lift the flavour. House Rioja and Cava were good. Finished with a couple of hazelnut liquors, nice. Service charged included came to £92 which was reasonable. Worth dropping in if passing by for the tapas for sure."

"Been here many times and always been pleased hence returning many times. This time however we were left for 15-20 minutes without anyone even asking for a drinks order, in fairness once prompted we did get a free drink, but still pretty poor. After we ordered we did wait around 40 minutes for our food, and whilst I appreciate it takes time to prepare and serve, it did seem awfully long especially after the initial 15-20 minutes wait to order in the first place. In short great food at reasonable cost in a nice atmosphere, customer service shocking and needs sorted out before you lose customers."

"Was very excited for a meal out here as we'd seen lots of great pictures however we were a bit disappointed with our experience. The service was very slow, the interior felt empty and didn't live up to what we saw online and the seemingly compulsory service charge left a bad taste in our mouths after this below average experience especially for the price in a student area. Fortunately the food was good however this was after having to re-choose with the kitchen having ran out of steaks. One weird moment was discovering the olives weren't kept at the bar but in the kitchen so it wasn't possible to have olives at the same time as our drinks. I'm sure most of the issues will be fixed over time considering how new this restaurant is, but it will be some time before we're willing to try it again."

"We got late Groupon deal (and babysitter)for the good ladies birthday. £34 for a sharing platter 2 including bread, cheese, meats and olives. This was followed by a shared potato gratas and 5 choices from the tapas menu. As is standard some of the items have a supplementary charge. We went for the King prawns in garlic and chilli, chicken and chorizo in a tomato sauce, pan serrano(garlic bread topped with manchego cheese and serrano ham), chicken burger sliders and a breaded cheese with a tomato sauce. The dishes came with a tomato sauce and garlic aioili dip. As you expect with Spanish tapas the good was hearty and tasty. We didn't leave a morsel on the table. This isn't a dog at the portion size (which was more than generous) it is just a testament to how good it was. We finished with chocolate fudge cake that we had to force down which was probably my least favourite course. This could have been down to being stuffed like a pig before the first spoonful so I wouldn't read too much into that. To drink we had a jug of sangria to share. Sweet and fruity. Scoffed the lot. Enough said. We will definitely be back again. Outstanding value. Lovely food. Brilliant service. Wonderful transport links (if like us you like a little tipple with your Friday night meal). You you are literally up the stairs and across the road from the bus and train station. Should be noted that the Groupon deal was for £34 which is a bargain in itself. As it had been a long time since I last used my Groupon I got an extra 50 percent off the deal. I will never spend under 20 pounds for that amount of quality grub again in my life. Been smiling all weekend. 1st time. Definitely not the last."

"The restaurant and bar has a lovely atmosphere, and the cocktails are quite good. However, they were late in seating us, and it took 20 minutes for us to order drinks even after we seated ourselves. The food was disappointing; the seabass ceviche was overcooked and very fishy with little flavor. Overall, everything took a long time to arrive, and it was difficult to get the attention of the staff. The experience felt a bit chaotic and disorganized."

"the rabbit was boiled for perfection, melt softened with caramelized baby tweezers and tomatoes. it was also in the regular Spanish that it felt as if it had been negotiated with an axe with various sharp pieces of bone. apparently rustic. the salt meadow was wonderfully picked with black pudding and thin cut chorizo. the fish fleshy with a wonderful taste of the sea gives a gentle saltiness then to finish the sweet meat aromen. simple and elegant. the ham steak in px was cooked similarly well and the sauce from this wonderfully rich wein was impractical and required a part brot to enjoy it sweet. the garnels had a perfect hauch of chili heats,...more"

"Steak as requested for my child's birthday lunch, asked for medium ribeye and filet, came out well done however, we were hungry so didn't debate over it. Chips were not homemade, they're frozen. We decided against desserts judging by the quality of food, and shocking prices of desserts. We visited close to lunch break closing time and waitresses disappeared, had to go hunting for someone to settle our bill, could have walked out but we are honest people. Any other customer wouldn't have been so polite about the overall service and dry steak. The toilets needs a good clean too."

"when I went here (if I remember correctly, I had the chickenburger and Peri-Perio nuts: the nuts were a bit too spicy for me, but I had the people I could share with them so everything was in order. the service was okay. I found it expensive for a person on a budget. but eating was good! that's probably expected. the decorations were good. I liked the atmosphere that was quite colorful and it said 21 where I sat, so I think the tables were numbered?"

"While I expected a crazy busy motherday rush, the restaurant was surprisingly quiet and while I was busy it was nothing that the staff could not handle. our waiter, while slightly sticky was polite and very friendly. he may have been cute on my mother, it has proved more than anything. during the garlauchbrotstarter proved to be disappointing perhaps as a garlic bread lover my standards are quite high! when it came to the carbonara (with added hair naturally) I was blown away. I almost went into a food cosm to finish it. Maybe it was the best carbonara I ever had! Unfortunately, no discounts were taken due to Mother's Day. this is understandable from business, but if I am a seafarer and my mother works for the nhs, it was disappointing not to use any of these discounts. overall we recommend a visit! reasonably priced and not a meal that would break the bank, which is always helpful if they are on a family dinner!"

"The food here is always excellent, and they don't scrimp on their portion sizes, especially the paella which is very generous! Don't be lulled in to ordering paella for the exact number in your party, as the portion size will be HUGE unless you don't plan to have any tapas starters. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 children (11 13). We had a selection of tapas starters (approx 3 pp) followed by a Paella Mixta for 2 people, and we were stuffed! This was more than sufficient, enough in fact for us to take away a doggy bag, which later fed 2 adults for dinner. The restaurant is consistently packed, especially on Saturday night so reservations are advisable to avoid disappointment or long waits. My only gripe is the service is very slow. We have eaten there on 2 separate Saturday nights and it always feels like they're a little short staffed. At one point in the evening I saw 5 staff behind or at the bar, and only 2 tending to customer tables. To give some context, at this time there were only 2 customers seated at the bar, but a full restaurant. If you're not in any hurry, then slower service isn't going to be an issue, however the absence of staff tending to tables does make getting the waiting staff's attention very tedious, and delivery of things like drinks very slow. My biggest issue with the restaurant is the toilets, in particular the ladies room. On this occasion 2 out of 3 ladies cubicles were unuseable, blocked with paper and other waste matter presumably this is due to poor water pressure and flushing, but whatever the reason, does not make for a pleasurable experience, resulting in a long wait for the 1 working loo."

"Our booking was for 20.00 a.m. at the night of an international rugby game in Edinburgh. It was understandably busy this day, which is the lack of better wines. The experience was disappointing for other reasons. The menu list of starters was inspiring and the menu card itself reminded of a tired diner. The food was okay, not more than that. Our table was near the door and the guests at this end had a constant series of surcharges as others came and went. The worst, and not only in the current coronavirus environment, a waiter from the WC cubicle looked straight into the dining area without washing his hands. When we were just gone, and since I didn't want to upset our guests, I didn't raise them back then. However, this is completely unacceptable."

"Very authentic spanish cuisine. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was empty apart from us, so a very quiet and chilled experience! Outstanding tapas, sangría and attention. The cook even came out to ask about our food. As a Spanish national living in London, it's a treat to be able to taste the flavours of home, would highly recommend!"

"After a catastrophic visit on 26th february, who was on the birthday of my engaged, I announced the restaurant 2 days later to discuss the visit and how dissatisfied we were. I have spoken to that who was really understanding and therefore has taken precautions to visit again what we did tonight. what for a conversion the restaurant was warm, the personal, where attentive, the sangria was exactly right, the eating was in no time and delicious. many thanks to jenny and her personal, which we have filled out and will definitely visit again."

"We arrived at our reservation time of 6pm (opening time) to find the door open but only the chef inside. The waiter arrived without apologizing or offering us a seat, instead focusing on setting up tables. We waited until 6:20 without being seated or acknowledged, so we decided to leave. We walked just 2 minutes down the road to Tomo Pizza, where we enjoyed delicious food."
