"I've can't remember tasting such delicious, fresh and wonderfully spiced food. As another review on here says, I honestly can't wait to go back. The service is friendly and relaxed, we stayed chatting for a while after finishing our meal and were not hurried out. I went with 2 friends and we all ordered a vegetarian curry although we are not all vegetarian. We chose a coconut flavoured curry, coconut rice, pilau rice, tomato and black bean curry, and an aubergine based curry. I wanted to know the ingredients and made a note of the Indian names of the curries although not listing here. We all commented on the exceptional quality."

"This is a very nice restaurant. No frills and no sumptuous decor, it’s a straightforward small eatery. Very clean. Food was exceptionally good for quality of ingredients. I had Rogan Josh which was excellent. It appears to be a small family run establishment, not verified, and the staff are very helpful. It’s been around a while, as I remember it from a previous visit in 2007. Would highly recommend this restaurant for good quality food at reasonable prices."

"I had a wonderful birthday dinner here last Friday and couldn't find anything wrong with the food or the service. The staff were delightful, well-informed about the menu, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. It's quite rare to come across restaurants like this these days. I will definitely be returning!"

"We had been led to believe from the website you couldn't book a table here so we just turned up on the off chance. Turns out their website was wrong and you could book. Never the less they managed to squeeze us in. I ordered the hot dog which when it arrived a was shocked to see it looked like the cheapest sausage they could have possibly found. However, it tasted absolutely amazing so don't let that put you off! We got two cocktails as they were on a 2 for £12 offer. When the bill arrived they hadn't charged us the special offer for the cocktails. That was easily rectified however."

"Staying on business. Decided to try this place as it was no 6 on Tripadvisor The whole time I was there, I was the only customer. The host was super friendly. Music was great. Over the years I must have eaten in over 200 Indian restaurants and I can honestly say that this was one of the worst ! All of the food was so over cooked it was terrible. Even the rice was burnt. The nan bread was like a brick. I complained and the host brought the chef out who just shrugged his shoulders, smiled at me and walked off. Appalling ! I won’t be going back."

"The food was incredible tasty, the wine we ordered was great, nice design of the restaurant. The service it was stoning! The best place to celebrate my anniversary with my girlfriend. If I could recommend something to improve, would be the toilets."

"a few weeks ago with my partner visited to dinner and has a brilliant visit from beginning to end. service was fantastic that we sat immediately and our drinks within one minute or two and our eating about 10 minutes after. Once we finished a drink, the employees were ready to take over the next order. the selection of drinks was fantastic (we had a few of the handicraft lice each) and the selection of food was amazing. we had the garnels for the starter to share, and for the net I had the soya keema and my partner had the herbal curry, both with a side of chili cheese naan and bhaajis. the whole food was beautiful and tasted incredible. unbeatable prices all the above mentioned food and 4 pints of al for £ 50 is an absolute bargain. will come back 100%!"
"Extremely disappointed in the quality and quantity of food. The portion size of the starters were extremely small, not like any other Indian restaurant we have been to. It was supposed to be a birthday treat but turned into a nightmare! The service was ridiculously slow, they clearly prioritise their takeaway orders..... The vegetarian option was so bland it was tasteless, when we pointed this out we were told that their clientele like mild flavours....there was no flavour! I had ordered a cucumber salad and was shocked when it was served in a tea light holder size dish.....I thought they were bringing me a chutney!! I can't think of anything positive other than the one of the meat dishes was ok but again as a main it was filled to about a quarter of the tiffin box. Other tables had rice which was filled to the top of the tiffin... First time I have ever said this avoid this restaurant."

"Our experience at Heritage was disappointing. The food was underwhelming no more special than what I could have made at home and portions are small for the price, even considering it 's small plates . e.g. the pan fried seabass literally one fillet of seabass, no garnish or sauce or anything, with the skin not even crispy, for £9. Hot chicken wings just seemed to be caked in chilli paste, not much flavour, only heat. The taste of the beef burger reminded me of a cheap burger from a van but for a whopping £10, not including fries!Thank god we went during the 50% off all food in January offer, otherwise I would be feeling thoroughly ripped off.The service was poor. Tables around us took over an hour to be cleared after customers left, which made the ambience unpleasant. Staff did not check on us during our meal, or ask if we wanted sauces etc. Staff were more interested in chatting to their friends than providing good service.Cocktails were nice but that won 't be enough to bring us back to an establishment that really doesn 't put any care or love into their food."

"I have been searching for a venue to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday next year. He is of Jamaican descent, and we found June Plum and decided to take him there for a meal this year. Upon our arrival at 5:15pm, my daughter gave a cake to a staff member to hide in the kitchen as a surprise for my husband. We requested to place our food order at 5:25pm, but even after our drinks order had been taken and served, our food order was not taken. After a second request, we finally placed our food order. By 6:15pm, we still had not received our food and when we inquired about the delay, we were given a story about the table before us still not being served. At this time, there were only them and us in the restaurant. We were told maybe another 15 minutes for our food, but by 6:30pm, we were still waiting. The front of house manager apologized and could not give us a definite time for our food, mentioning that the table before us would take another 10-15 minutes. After two hours of waiting, we were still not able to eat. The staff mentioned attending a cricket match the day before, but we were unsure how that was relevant to our wait. When we finally asked for the bill and received it along with the surprise birthday cake for my husband, which was supposed to be a surprise, we were disappointed. Although the front of house manager apologized and offered us the drinks on the house, we have decided not to return to June Plum and will not be booking it for my husband's 60th birthday meal. While we appreciate supporting small businesses, we cannot tolerate such long waits for service."

"Makan cafe was a recommendation and wasn’t a disappointment, on portobello road on the outskirts of the street market, this place is a must try….. we were there for the Malaysian food but they also do chimes food, Indian snacks and treats… samosas, kebabs, cakes, desserts…. There’s plenty of choices…. The Roti Canai is very good, flaky and crisp Roti, flavoursome curry…. Top 3 in London….mee hoon goreng seafood…. Vermicelli noodles with seafood and egg…. Mouthwatering good, right amount of spice, very authentic in taste, fresh seafood… washed down with iced teh tarik, correct amount of sweetness and flavour….. take away banana cake which thoroughly enjoyed on train home…. Amazing recommendation and you’ll struggle to find a better cafe that caters for many cuisines…."

"This is gonna be long one but boy she is worth it!! This is by far my new favourite restaurant. Did we drive 1.5 hrs to try this place? Yes. Did we do it a second time because they blew my mind? Also, yes. This adorable place located in Anglesey, Wales, had great reviews and the photos people shared online were just… mouthwatering. The first time I tried it, the seafood platter for two, extra lemon butter prawns and chips and the dessert trio delicious fruity drinks on the side. I have always refused to eat mussels because of the look and smell. Well I tried these and ate multiple. The calamari was tender and tasty, the prawn on toast was light and refreshing, the bream was fresh and fishy, the fried fish was flaky and crispy at the same time. I was obsessed immediately. The dessert trio was a snickers trio, a spiced caked and orange ice cream and crème brûlée. Each equally perfect. Zero. Complaints. Trip 2 we went in for the roast dinner. While not as awe inspiring to me as the seafood, the portions were fantastic, the variety of foods meant I never got bored and was always trying new combinations. The cheese starter was rich and decadent. Almost too much so but two was plenty for me. But the greatest part… the peach and raspberry dessert. I don’t have the words to describe.. I was overly full and feeling quite heavy from eating more than my body was wanting me to … when the dessert came out. OMG… it was light and airy, creamy but rich, sweet but tangy. Chunks of real peach hidden at the bottom. It was one of those moments when you just know… you’ve eaten one of the best things of your entire life. Catch 22 is a family run restaurant (I didn’t know at the time) that is always busy and no wonder. The service was great, the staff were lovely, the food was out of this world. The next time I’m in the UK I am making the trek over, no question about it. Hell I might even fly over just to go there. 10/10 absolutely incredible. Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu someday."

"I absolutely adore the Bombay Chilli Mock Chicken made spicy, it’s INCREDIBLE. The popcorn cauliflower is also very delicious with incredible and intense flavor coming from the dip. I always order these two items. On this occasion I also ordered the spicy fried vegetables, but I honestly felt these were very similar in flavor to the chili mock chicken. It was really hard to discern the difference between the two. Moreover, I couldn’t tell where the vegetables were because it seemed like more of a mock meat dish. Finally, during this visit we ordered the Momo and we hated it. So, I would not recommend ordering that. In general the food is usually delicious here. Be sure to ask for the separate vegan menu. "This restaurant truly stands out with its exceptional Sunday roast, a culinary masterpiece that tantalizes the taste buds. Beyond that, their specials are equally remarkable, demanding the attention of any discerning food enthusiast. The staff's attentiveness and the inviting atmosphere create a dining experience that is nothing short of exceptional. Without a doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment for an unforgettable gastronomic journey. Kid-friendliness: The restaurant boasts an impressive kids' menu that caters to young palates perfectly. Moreover, the staff's exceptional kid-friendly approach extends to providing high chairs and engaging activities that keep the little ones entertained right at the table."

"This is the most fabulous place. We loved it. We are a group of friends staying for a weekend at Mawgan Porth.. and after a lovely walk along the coast path on Sunday afternoon popped in, hoping we could just get a drink but thought that might not be welcome being a Sunday lunchtime and not wanting to eat. Well.... we needn't have worried. They could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Gave us a massive table all together (with the dog... and gave her biscuits)... and of course... one drink became several.... and we then decided we would have some small plates of food too. The food was fabulous... the service and friendliness exceptional. Highly recommend and thank you Gareth and the team for a great time. Vegetarian options: I had the mushroom soup. It was delicious Dietary restrictions: One of our friends is gluten free... everything was checked and catered for Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
