"Just had a really lovely impromptu dinner. Dropped in for a drink with my husband and 6 month old baby. We decided to stay to eat as the menu looked great. I had the fish of the day and it was beautifully cooked. The saffron aioli with the accompanying potatoes was gorgeous. My vegetarian husband enjoyed his halloumi and chips and said they may have been the best chips he has ever had. We shared a custard tart with rhubarb compote for pudding. I made a jokey comment about the size of the slice of tart being small (as I'm a silly fatty with eyes bigger than my stomach), and we were offered a second slice! I feel very embarrassed at my faux pas but wanted to highlight the wonderful service we received. Was pretty spenny, but as a treat well worth the money for excellent food and service. Thank you!"
