"This restaurant is a hidden gem. My friend and I stopped by after a 4-day wild camping trip in the woods, and despite our disheveled appearance, we were warmly welcomed. Although the kitchen was closed, we were directed to the Abergavenny Arms and received excellent service from the lady at the bar. We had previously met a gentleman who we believe is the owner, and he provided us with some interesting information about the building's history. Thank you very much! Price range: £1-10 per person. "We booked Tangia last minute for a Saturday night meal for a group of friends. We were warmly welcomed and greeted by the Chef/Owner who talked us through the menu and made us feel very welcome. Service was prompt and the food and drink choices were good, the lamb shank was excellent and every dish was very pleasant. We would very happily return."

"Had the whole place to ourselves sunday afternoon (kay brian , the venue looked very similar to the last time i went there about 15 yrs ago lol, BUT, what a great time we had, the food was fautless, £20 for 2 courses, very good value, staff were great, very happy to help. "a cold windy day our table was right by an open window causing the table and seating to be covered in mess from the overhead hops.we shut the window and cleared the table ourselves.at least 3 of our party wanted to order the steak pudding but it wasn't available.No ambiance in that area of The black Horse.I have eaten there before but in a different area and had a better experience"

"My family I used the Knoxbridge for a meeting point, as this was our first visit we really didn't know what to expect. We didn't have to worry. Very clean, very friendly staff. Food, no complaints there either. We all had a Sunday roast with plenty of meat the vegetables served in dishes to help yourself. Garden for the children to play in too. We most definitely will be using The Knoxbridge again for our future meet ups."
