"Nice place but we visited on a cold day and and if you weren’t seated directly in front of the open fire it was chilly in the restaurant . Also some of the food needed to be hotter than served. And I totally disagree with the service charge, on our bill it was £30 thank goodness it was discretionary the service certainly didn’t live up to that high charge. That should be removed entirely and left at the customers discretion. Kind of changed the mood of the lunch which was a shame."

"A lovely setting at the Fish Hotel. The drive from Fish Hill is an adventure in itself. Set lunch was very good value and beautifully prepared and served. Can't fault it for my daughter's birthday. Wine list is short but very good. All in all a very interesting place. We have eaten at the Dormy House sister hotel on occasions and it is equally good. Will be going back before Christmas."

"We absolutely adore the samphire bush and are extremely saddened to hear that it will be closing soon. It will be sorely missed in our dining experiences. We are grateful for the delicious food and wish the restaurant all the best in their future endeavors."
