"We visited for Sunday lunch and our first time to eat at Monty’s. We’d previously eaten in the hotel restaurant which was very good and over the years have enjoyed a few drinks in the bar. Given that we had a long morning walk and...were dressed casually we felt that we’d fit in more within the bar restaurant. We were real impressed with the short menu and were tempted by every singe starter and main course, even the veggie options. The reason for stars is simple the food was delicious, the ale and wine were great, the staff were all fabulous, and the environment smart yet relaxed. We felt very welcome by the smiling and attentive team."
