"Venue: upstairs feels like a great vibe, downstairs is a bit more quiet, perhaps more intimate but it felt small. Service: The service was pretty good, staff explained how everything works promptly as it was our first visit. Throughout the night we had quick access to other staff as we were seated near their stand, and had a lot pop by our table to ask us whether we needed anything. The only downside was that it took a while to get a drinks menu later on in the night, but they were pretty busy as it was a Saturday night. Food: Nothing really disappointed in my opinion, but nothing really banged either. I think the best thing I had were the tacos, and I'm not really a taco myself. We had steak, truffle fries, sea bass, tacos, and Chicken-dukkah carnitas. My friends who are taco people and carnitas people weren't big fans of either dish, but I enjoyed it. I felt like the food was a bit pricey for the quality, but that's just London. Drinks: had the lychee marg, and my friends ordered the mezcal negroni. Similar thoughts, didn't disappoint but wasn't impressed either. Friends weren't keen though. Overall an okay visit, nothing bad, nothing stood out (though great service), probably wouldn't visit again for a long time."

"I am a regular at Yautcha, and decided to introduce my friends to this place who was here on holiday. I would always recommend this restaurant to people however I was really disappointed by the service received here that day. Once we got there, the lady guided us to the bar where we enjoyed our drinks and was told we could stay there here to finish them. Once we were ready we were guided to our table however just seconds before we got there, someone took our table. We were told to stand on the side for over 5 minutes, which would not be an issue but it was such a tight space we felt so uncomfortable standing there whilst people were trying to get through. We finally got escorted to our table. We felt that given that situation, it would have been a great gesture that the waiter looking after us offered something on the house for the inconvenient, however this did not happen as we were rushed to give in our orders. We then requested if it was possible to at least have our drinks given to us on the house, and instead of the waiter kindly telling us he would look into this or that he couln't give us this, he had started interrogating us with questions like do you think that is a long enough time for us to give you a free drink which was just not appreciated especially when we had spent a good amount that night and are regular paying customers. We were eventually given then drinks for free, which we appreciated the kind gesture but it felt like we were being treated like charity. We then continued to order our starters and main which was absolutely delicious. When we got to our mains, and the food was served, we asked our waiter if he could bring us 3 sets of cutlery, he returned with two. We then said, sorry we needed 3, he then replied in a rude manner, could you have not told me that before, now I have to go back? By this point, we felt so un-welcomed here and wanted to leave. I wanted to leave this honest review as we felt so dissapointed from this service."

"Love at first and repeated sight. Have been alternating visits to Yauatcha Soho and Yauatcha City and both remain my favorite restaurants. though for some reason, Yauatcha City prices have risen, unlike in its Soho sister branch. Nevertheless, the food is still as delicious as ever. Extremely appreciated is also the fact that staff is always extremely attentive and friendly regardless of how much you order. Great for a treat to yourself, a get-together with friends, a Sunday brunch, a special occasion, business lunch. Good for foodies. Less for quiet, intimate conversations, but great to celebrate life and love of extremely good food."

"eating was excellent, like the service and the general atmosphere. the two tables that were closest to the door, and the flooring were however connected with icy explosions at each entry or exit of customers. obviously it was a well-known problem because a heavy velvet curtain was positioned to provide some protection in front of the open door, but the curtain was repeatedly pulled aside when diner entered the restaurant and thus left an open gap open to the January colds. two tables had cold diners (from men's separate groups) wearing dumbbells. the cold explosions influenced what could have been a nice experience."

"The restaurant was absolutely perfect in every way. We received a lovely warm welcome as soon as we entered and were seated at a beautiful table by the window overlooking the canal. Each of the three courses we ordered was perfect, with delicious flavors and impeccable seasoning. The staff were all professional, friendly, and helpful. It was the perfect spot for a pre-concert dinner, as the arena was just a 2-minute walk away. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant, as it truly lives up to its impressive appearance and ambiance. In fact, it exceeds expectations! I highly recommend making a trip to Birmingham just to dine at this fantastic restaurant."

"One of the worst experiences i’ve ever had in hospitality. Firstly, I had a table booked via opentable which the host seemed to have no idea about. She asked us to wait at the bar until she got our table ready. 35 mins later, still waiting to have our drinks order taken, we were seated in the restaurant. This same host seated us and asked if we’d like any water for the table, to which we asked for a jug of tap water. This water never came. Another 30 mins go by, still no food or drinks order. We tried getting the attention of the waiters but no one would come over. Eventually a young man came over, who asked for our drinks order. We had no drinks menu so asked to see one. He took our food order first and then returned with a drinks menu. But no one came back to take our drinks order. Our starters then come out… still no drinks order. When delivering the food we asked if we could order some drinks, and this was the only time we could order drinks for the whole 3 hour duration of our meal. Once we’d had the food, we asked for a dessert menu. Baring in mind, our mains came out exactly 2 hours after the table was booked that shows how slow the service was. No one came to take this dessert order until another 35 mins later. We felt completely abandoned by all the staff. They then had the cheek to add a service charge on. I hate taking the service charge off as i work in hospitality myself but in this instant I was gobsmacked they even put it on. Wouldn’t return even if it was my last meal on earth."
