"The burgers were filling, though they could have added some salad on the plate. Fried calamari so very tasty and soft to chew, sadly rings of calamari on the plate do not justify their price. Garlic bread also very tasty and mouth-watering, but a few thin slices of a baguette isn't a good side dish. Desserts were very well made and presented. The staff were friendly but I didn't appreciate them coming to the table every (by the clock) to ask us if we are ready to order. Felt so pressured to order, I didn't like it at all and was uncomfortable. Please give your guests time to choose from your catalogue especially if they are not familiar with the cuisine and need some extra time to read the ingredients and the composition of the dishes you offer. We know where you are and we can call for you when we are ready, the place is not big and we literally see you across the room watching. We had a nice time though, nice atmosphere and music."

"A group of 7 of us went to The Eastern Eye for a sit down meal. The service was ok and the waitress was ok, however… the male who worked there who I presume is the manager wasn’t so good. We all ordered our food which was to an ok standard. The problem is when the manager has charged us for an extra meal, bottled water instead of tap water which was requested and when there were several dishes ordered for medium portion, he has charged us all for large. He added service charge on as well and seemed to boss the waitress around, now I think he was like that with her as she had took our order correctly and he was telling her to add things etc. You will all think why didn’t you notice… well it was a large bill and all 7 of us were drinking that evening and I think the manager took advantage of this. The table was close to the toilets, the room smelt of bleach and it wasn’t a nice experience at all. Be warned and I’d avoid. We won’t be going back again!"

"I have a medium-sized beefburger with cheese and my wife had a chickenburger than take. she really enjoyed her. my burger was delicious. it has always amazed me how difficult/stored it is for restaurants to get the meat part of the burger right. it only has to be fresh, not mined in the hell and not solid like a brick. to reach a 10/10 of me, this would have had only the cheese, the wobbles, the burger and ketchup and tomaten. no gurke, that's it. I also hate the fact that many places seem like standard brioche bungalows to do. so unnecessary imo. the bell **** was perfect. really good job. will try out the Veggie options in the future."

Said in an rude accusatory way like I somehow should have known that! In general such a bizarre phone call and experience. "NO REGRETS! I was greeted by the warm front of house team upon arrival and swiftly guided to my table. The waiter serving me was kind and courteous, ensuring that my needs were fulfilled in timely fashion. The decor, layout and ambience were pleasing to the eye and led to a pleasant dining experience. Onto the more important bits (for me anyway)....the food was simply AMAZING. I opted for the mixed grill, the chicken tikka karahi as well as cheese naan and fries. The fragrances were mesmerising and the presentation, great. I was pleased with the flavours and the food was undoubtedly cooked with love and expertise. The serving sizes were generous and filling too. The star of the show was the lamb chops. I found myself wanting to lick the bones. Such was the flavour profile and quality of meat. And if I was in the privacy of my home, I would have done just that hahah. My Dhabba Coventry is definitely a solid addition to my list of regulars for a good night out.
