"Great service by Russel and his female colleague. Food is really lovely. My dhansak B had great depth of flavour, full of whole spices and citrus. A delicious Muttar Paneer made special aswell. Whilst it is not your traditional ENGLISH Indian style, it certainly is home cooked, fresh, made to order with love and care. Have an open mind. You will not be disappointed. I had chicken tikka dhansak, muttar paneer, special rice, and a garlic naan with one small coke. This cost £39 which is very very expensive and was the only let down. I actually think it was a bill mistake that I didn’t realise until I left. I will return and I recommend giving it a go. Speaking with the chef and him explaining the menu and how it’s cooked fresh with love and attention made my visit extra special."

"I have a medium-sized cattleburger with cheese and my wife had a chickenburger than take. she really enjoyed her. my burger was delicious. it has always amazed me how difficult/stored it is for restaurants to get the meat part of the burger right. it only has to be fresh, not mined in the hell and not solid like a brick. to reach one of me, it would have had only the cheese, the fase, the burger and ketchup and tomaten. no girke, that's it. I also hate the fact that many places seem to do like standard brooche bungalows. so unnecessary imo. the belltail was perfect. really good work. will try out the veggie options in the future."

"Attempted to eat here as part of a canal trip. Called up after making the reservation and told they’re not doing food as the person is the only one there. Said in an rude accusatory way like I somehow should have known that! In general such a bizarre phone call and experience. "Last minute decision to go here last night for a meal with friends. The staff were welcoming and went above and beyond so that we enjoyed our evening and didn't feel rushed (we were the last ones out). The food was delicious, plentiful and reasonably priced. Great that you can take your own alcohol. Only slight criticism is that it was really hot in there but that was a small price to pay."
